Two sexy English brothers. One irresistible ghost. Who would you choose as your lover?
Completely broke and with a criminal record to boot, Senna Smith is one day from eviction from her apartment when Brendon, her promiscuous roommate from London, suggests she go to England, marry him, and manage his fortune. With few other options, she agrees to an open marriage. But she’ll never, ever, have sex with him, knowing if she falls in love with him, he’ll break her heart.
As trustee of Brendon’s family fortune, there is no way Brendon’s older brother, Garrison Durran, is going to let him marry a self-professed American gold-digger. As Senna tries to embrace castle life and English society for Brendon’s sake, Gar discovers Senna is the perfect woman for him–beautiful and intelligent, kind and caring. Now, if she wasn’t already engaged to his brother…
The ancestral ghost of Durran Castle has to intervene if the Durran brothers have any chance of an heir. He can’t leave them to fix matters on their own. They are useless buggers when it comes to love. As counselor to Gar, matchmaker for Brendon, and lover to Senna, a ghost’s work is never done.

Welcome Liza to All I Want and More
Tell us a little about your book?
Ghost Lover is about two British brothers who fall in love with the same young woman, requiring the ancestral ghost, Lassier, to intervene. While convincing her to stay in England, he falls in love with her as well. There’s also a charming ghost cat running about the castle.
How much emotion does it take from you to write?
I weep, fume and laugh while writing my books. I hate to cry because tears make my eyes burn. Then I have to wash and dry my face to continue the scene.
What is your favorite part of the book?
I love the beginning because it’s funny and outrageous.
But then I love the ending because it’s such a great HEA.
But the emotion and turmoil in between…I can’t choose.
You can only pick 3 words to describe your main characters. What would they be?
Yikes, I have minimally three, possibly six main characters.
Senna: Frugal, Loving, Determined.
Brendon: Randy, Incorrigible, Inconsiderate
Gar: Responsible, Honest, Honorable
Lassier: Seductive, Concerned, Determined
Cat: Crazy, Sexy, Genuine
Mr. Finch the ghost cat: Invisible, supportive, affectionate
Which was the easiest character to write and the hardest ~ and why?
The main characters were all easy. When I would ask them why they responded or acted in a certain manner, they were most forthcoming about their past. Except for the ghost cat, Mr. Finch. Unable to talk, he could not tell me his story. So he remains an enigma.
How many books are you shooting for in this series?
One. (It’s not a series.) The ending was so fulfilling I stopped at one.
What are you currently working on?
The last of the A Long Road to Love series, called Coming to Reason. It’s a Contemporary Romance where Carrie finally discovers True Love. But like me, she’s not very good at picking guys, so it takes her three books to get it right.
I’ve also decided to bring out my Xavier & Vic series in 2014, so I’m working on the first of that series as well. These books are about Xavier, an amazing Late Victorian sleuth and his incredibly intuitive partner, Vic Hamilton, who is actually a woman who has chosen to live the more interesting life of a Victorian man. These books are my most beloved stories ever.
Do you have anything due to release soon? Well, Ghost Lover just came out December 2. Then Coming to Reason will come out around mid-February, followed by Xavier & Vic’s first book.
What’s one thing that you enjoy about writing?
Creating the first draft where it’s all about the characters and their feelings.
Since we’re cover hussies….what was your first impression of your cover?
It’s eye catching, but I believe the book is more humorous than the cover suggests.
What do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks?
Ebooks, I can carry all my books with me.
Is there a genre you would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?
The only book I’ve ever written that intimidated me was a fan fiction based off of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, in which I tell the life of Lydia. (she’s the one that ran off with Wickham) Trying to capture the voice of Jane, whom I love above all authors, kept me at bay for 3 months before I dived in.
Okay…. personal time!!!! Oh yeah, I go there… Hahah…
Oh dear…*cringes* This is no doubt Karma payback for all the interviews I’ve done.
If you thought you were safe… Nah… Forgot it… Not a chance! We will start off slow and easy, I promise!
What is on your night stand/dresser?
A blind fold- seriously. I have a skylight and the moon can be too bright.
What are you listening to you right now?
Nothing, I need silence to write blogs or I’ll get distracted.
What are you reading right now?
Your silly questions. J
What is your favorite season?
I love all four of them, but I will give a small preference to spring because the flowers bloom.
Holiday? It was July 4th because I can watch the fireworks from my solarium, but Jess, my dog, HATES the fireworks, so I guess in total, we don’t like any holidays anymore.
And what has been your best b-day present ever?
My sister sent me a large flat screen TV a couple of Christmases ago. I was stunned She shouldn’t have done it, but it was the best present ever.
Hard and Quick Time! Don’t think… Just answer! You know you do… Quickie time… Think fast….
Are you a quickie kind girl? Maybe
Dark or Milk Chocolate? Dark
Whipped or Melted? Nothing melted or whipped is allowed on my diet.
Straight up or with a twist – sex? Vodka? Let’s go with a twist.
What’s ur fave drink – in a glass or on him? Green tea to drink, wine to throw, unless I’m dangerously angry, then scalding hot coco.
Spank or Flogger? I’ll knock you out if you try either.
Junk or Health Food? Health food all the way.
Ties or Chains? Ties-chains are heavy.
Leather or Lace? Light Cotton.
Soft or Hard… Bed, where was your mind? soft
Control or Be Controlled? Control. I hate people telling me what to do.
Hot Wax or Whip Cream? Whip cream.
Vampire or Werewolf? Vampire, my dog would be jealous of a werewolf.
Twitter and/or Facebook? Twitter gives me less trouble. Facebook is always putting me in time out.
Pinterest or not? I love Pinterest. I’ve collected lots of ghost pictures.
That’s it. I was just getting on a roll. Well thanks for the interview. I had fun.
Senna woke to her breast beeping. Trying to make sense of the oddity, she pushed herself up to rest on her elbows and discovered the noise came from Brendon’s wristwatch. Somehow, his hand had found its way beneath her bra during the night, and now chirped like a baby chick.
She contemplated tearing his hand off at the wrist, but he looked so angelic with his curly dark hair framing his handsome face. With a heavy sigh, she unlatched her bra and eased his hand out, then gently shook him until his face scrunched into a pained grimace.
He groaned and frowned at his noisy watch. “This is a god-awful hour to be woken up,” he said in his sexy British accent. “Never bothers me when I’m coming home at this hour.”
Senna rolled her eyes. “Speak for yourself.”
Pushing himself up, he shook his head. “Remember the second night I came around? You kept yelling at me, ‘Did I realize it was four in the morning?’ At the time, I couldn’t understand your fuss.” He groaned and scratched his scalp. “Well, I certainly understand it now. It’s bloody hell to be woken at this ungodly hour.”

/ December 9, 2013Thanks for having me on your lovely site. I just need to make one correction to something that was true at the time, but the life of an author constantly changes. There will be FOUR not three books in the series A Long Road to Love. My fans demanded a fourth book, so I’m writing it now. Yes, I’m easily bossed by my fans. So buy Ghost Lover, become a fan, and become empowered. 🙂
