Ladies and Gents of the Lair, I would love for you to put together a warm, hussy welcome for a delightful new author!! She was a treat to interview! 🙂
I love ghosts. Ghost stories, ghost movies, ghost TV shows…anything. But I’m pretty sure I’d pee my pants if I ever saw one.
Tell us a little about your book?
My latest, Class Vamp, is about Josie, a BBW whose high school reunion is coming up. She wants to lose weight beforehand, to show up some evil class wenches, but she’s turned into a vampire. The book is largely about her learning to deal with the fact she’ll be a fat vamp forever. She finds hot sex helps. 🙂
How much emotion does it take from you to write?
Not a lot of emotion, really, but I do find myself mentally exhausted upon finishing a book. I’m trucking along, thinking everything’s rosy, then I type “The End” and BOOM! Sleep for 4 days. Lol!
What is your favorite part of the book?
When Josie is turned. I really, really love to write humor, and I’m not saying I’m hitting the standup circuit any time soon, but I amused the hell out of myself, writing that part. Oh, and it’s pretty hot, too.
You can only pick 3 words for your main characters..what would they be? *to describe your main characters*
Josie: Self-deprecating, insecure, authentic; Tanner: perceptive, supportive, creative
Which was the easiest character to write and the hardest ~ and why??
Josie was both the easiest and the hardest. I put bits of myself into my heroines, and those parts are easy to write. But Josie deals with things that I don’t, and it was hard to get those things to ring true. I hope I did her proud.
How many books are you shooting for in this series??
Class Vamp won’t be part of a series, but I’m considering a sequel for Josie’s best friend, Carmen, who’s a total hoot. I think she needs a big, burly vamp to take her on.
What are you currently working on?
I’m beginning book two in the British Invasion series. Book one, U.K. Kink, was released in April.
Do you have anything due to release soon?
Nope, Class Vamp just released on June 15, so hopefully you’ll see something from me in late summer or early fall.
What’s one thing that you enjoy about writing?
Talking with readers! It’s crazy enough to think someone would spend their hard-earned money on something I wrote, but they’ve also been supportive and helpful and friendly. Plus I love meeting new people, so it’s been pretty wonderful.
Since we’re cover hussies….what was your first impression of your cover?
I was shocked that the artist pulled off realistic fangs. Lol! Beyond that, the simplicity was striking to me.
What do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks?
I buy a lot of both, but in recent years I’ve definitely begun to prefer ebooks because of simple lack of space.
Is there a genre you would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?
Horror! I’d looove to give that a whirl but I’m afraid I’d either suck or I’d scare myself (see the ghost question).
Okay…. personal time!!!! Oh yeah, I go there… Hahah… If you thought you were safe… Nah… Forgot it… Not a chance! We will start off slow and easy, I promise!
What is on your night stand/dresser?
My nook, tablet and phone, several pens, a crossword puzzle book and a very wrinkled copy of The Picture of Dorian Gray.
What are you listening to you right now?
Every punk band known to man.
What are you reading right now?
Dorian Gray (again), Nowhere Ranch, by Heidi Cullinan (again) and Caught by Menace, by Lolita Lopez.
What is your favorite season? Holiday?
Fall, hands down. I love everything about it. The colors, the crispness, the lack of sweating. 🙂 Holidays are a tight race between Halloween and Christmas, but I think Santa wins by a “ho”.
And what has been your best b-day present ever??
A surprise trip to Vegas, complete with Tom Jones concert. Say what you want about the guy but the old man’s still got it. Lol!
Hard and Quick Time! Don’t think… Just answer! Okay, before we go this route, I will get us a refill on our drinks… I will be right back…

Mike Jasper might be one hell of a catch on paper, but he’s still lacking in a few crucial areas. Just ask his impressive list of
disgruntled, dissatisfied exes. Who knew good looks, a hard body and plenty of money weren’t enough, especially between the sheets? When it comes to sex, he reluctantly admits he needs help. And who better to ask than his longtime assistant? Ellen is his right hand, completely devoted. She already sees to his business needs. Why not a few personal ones as well?
U.K. KINK (published April 26, 2013)
Babysitting a British dance troupe isn’t one of Caitlin’s career aspirations, but before she can say “male strippers”, she finds herself the newly appointed caretaker for the Fire from Lancashire. Keeping five gorgeous guys on task is hard enough; living under the same roof with the luscious lads is near torture, especially when one begins starring in her naughtiest fantasies. Too bad about that “no fraternization” clause in her contract…
With a single kiss, Cait went from sweet caretaker to must-have sexual conquest. Oliver wants the voluptuous beauty badly, contracts and clauses be damned. Then one of his mates comes up with a way for Oliver to get his cake while the rest eat too. Their employer might fire one man for ravishing Cait…but certainly not all of them. Right? After one taste, Oliver knows she’s definitely worth the risk of finding out.
