“I’m in the business of bringing fantasy to life, Ms. Parker.” I was mesmerized by the soft swell of her breasts that poked above the neckline of her shirt. So subtle and delicate. “I bet you’ve got a few stored away for a rainy day.”

Her head swiveled with my movements and I heard her tiny gasps for breath as I hovered, each time getting closer. Finally, I leaned in and whispered, “Want to teach me a lesson?” I grinned then stepped away, but not before I saw the shiver race up her spine.

I heard Ben chuckle behind me, then clear his throat.

usually got when I laid it on thick, but laughed at me. “Goodbye.” She walked away, but not before giving me one last look that cut right through me.

I’d been eyed before. By women and men. Always with a glimmer of seduction or the blatant go-ahead to bring them to my bedroom. But never like this. Never with such disregard for everything I was and everything I stood for. This woman didn’t know me. She was just like the others. Judging a book before she looked between the covers—and being a student, she should know better.

But I was used to people belittling my work and my character. I’d dealt with it my whole life. I knew what it was like to have people call my mother a dirty slut. How it felt to have my father compared to a pimp. But even after all the teasing and taunting that only adolescents could hammer at me, never had I ever felt the need to defend myself so thoroughly.

I returned my attention to Ben, Jade, and Stella, almost forgetting why I was here.

“Sorry about that,” Jade said. “Everly can be a bit uptight sometimes. She’s just stressed out with studying.”

“So, where were we,” Stella asked, leaning against me. From across the table, Ben stared with a curious, but shocked face. “I think we were going to give you a little sneak peek of our skills.” She purred and pawed at me like a cat in heat.

I wasn’t interested in watching a show. I was . . . confused. Confused at the fact that I was more interested in the bookworm three tables away than the two beautiful women in front of me.

Was it because I was taken aback by her quick wit and innocent smile? Or was it something more? Was it because she saw right through me? She knew I was Max Levin, the porn guy. But she . . . didn’t care.

I had walked into this café with the intent of meeting and signing two escorts to short- term contracts. Okay, it is no secret that I love Ms. Gina’s writing. If you come here enough, you know my fetish for all things Gina… Her writing is sassy, funny, tempting and wicked. She uses her words to entice me, to lure me… She teases me with her sexy scenes… She is creative with her characters and what they choose to do… But what I love most of all is her power to make me feel like I am right there in the story with my characters.

This story is no different… Liv is trying to live her dream – own her very own bakery. She has the support of her two best friends, Patti (Patti’s boyfriend) & Austin (whom, I would love to know “Ozzie’s” story…. hint hint….). Then there is Patti’s family that considers Liv one of their own. She also has her mentor, Nancy, whom she has worked for what feels like forever. But without these people by her side, she would have never pushed so hard to make her dream come true… But at what price will she pay to have that dream come true…

Liv just wants to bake, but when things start going wrong, they go VERY wrong. You could almost say that things go to shit in the matter of a few days for her… But the one thing she never counted on was wanting a man the way she wants Jake. But Liv knows that wanting a man like Jake means trouble with a capital T! And she is really starting to believe that when everything around here seems to go up in smoke…

Jake has watched everyone around him make their own dreams come true; so now it is his time. His boss has given him one task – secure one particular client to their firm. Once that is done, Jake will be the VP of the firm. Easy right?!?! Well, that is what Jake thought until he scoped out the client. Jake was not expecting the client to be a hot, mouth-watering tasty treat like Liv! Every touch from this woman has Jake’s soul aching for things he did not think he wanted right now… The forever kinda girl, not the “right now” kinda girl. She made him think of things that he did not think he wanted right now… She was a treat he was hoping to get his hands on, but knowing what he had to do was slowly killing him… But getting the job done was what Jake did best.

This is such a sweet, romantic tale of heartache, tasty treats, awesome friends, betrayal and sweet loving. Liv is a woman that you want to see succeed with all her heart. I mean, you know she has really busted her ass and saved all she could possibly save to see her dreams come true. To see her struggle will melt your heart… But then Jake comes along and just when you think things could get no worst… well, you can figure that part out, but what I won’t tell you is how this ends…. Will Jake get the girl or his dream job? Will Liv’s bakery make it through all the fall-outs or will she actually sell her first cupcake? Will two hearts find each other; even though one ego treads on getting in the way?

The wave of a hand at the opposite end of the bar caught Liv’s attention. The group of unfamiliar men that had showed up at the beginning of her shift was in need of a refill. “I’ll be right back.”

Liv approached the group. “Drinks, boys?”

“Can we have a pitcher of Heineken this time?” The vocal one of the group looked up from the papers he was reviewing. He had a warm smile and shiny brown hair, but he wore his dress shirt and tie like armor. The blonde of the group was partial to sweater vests. The other dark-haired man looked like he had just stepped out of AP magazine—he had that rocker grunge look perfected. All three of them were attractive. Not usually her type—but still attractive. But just like every other male who walked through the doors of this bar, they were ordinary.

“You got it.”

While concentrating on pouring the draft, the hair on Liv’s arms and neck stood at attention when the cold March air filtered in from the open door. A new customer walked up the steps toward her. As he walked by, her stomach tightened and her breath became heavy.

The man was eye candy at its finest. Intense green eyes? Check. Black power suit? Check. Broad shoulders, strong jaw, hair styled to look messy? Check, check, and check. Without a doubt, he was the most gorgeous man she had ever seen.

“Jake!” Vocal Guy yelled from his seat at the bar.

Okay, you know the drill… You come here, you see me reading Gina’s book… You know I love stories. She is off the charts with her stories. She draws you from the first sentence and leaves you gracefully on the last one. She will cloak you in passion, drench you in lust, but she will make sure you have experienced a little heartache, but give you a heartfelt love. Gina makes sure to leave you with a story that will make your dreams a little more sweeter.

Sterling is a woman who is used of controlling her client’s lives – she keeps them organized and in control; but when her best friend, Penn, ask her to live it up a little for herself… Things kinda go a little crazy! 🙂 Sterling is used to being boring and plain. The life she has gave no leeway for play. Nope, she has to make sure she stays busy making money in order to take care of herself and her life and the life of her moocher parents and her younger twin sisters. Having parents who love to gamble all their and your money is never a good thing. But can Sterling say enough is a enough or does it take a certain bad boy to help her break from her shell and learn that you only get one life – so live it and live it well!

Jack is used to the names in the book that the media has given him… But no one truly understand him. No one gets him. Sometimes, his three foster brothers get him… but they still give him a hard time about being the baby and being the “playboy.” But Jack wants people to know what really lies underneath the bad boy exterior. Yep, read the book… Of course, I am going to make you want to read this book. It is an awesome book! This is going to be a delightful, naughty series with four hot, handsome brothers! Come on! But better than that, Gina gives a wickedly delicious story of one of the brothers and makes me want more of the other ones. But the story was focused on Jack and Sterling… This story is like a cupcake with a dash of extra sweetness on the side, lol…. That would be the other brothers in the story. They do not take from Jack’s story but they make you intrigued enough to want to get to know them as well.

Jack’s story helps lay the foundation for a wonderful family of four boys that came together because of one great woman, Vivian, their foster mother. She gave them the chance when no one else did. She taught those boys the value of family… But each one has their own personality… And it truly comes out!

Gina did an awesome job at delivering Jack to me, I mean to Sterling! She is exactly what he needed and she is exactly what he needed… He was an ass to her one time… I could have decked him for that… but he proved forgiveness is a great thing 😉

For those of you that know me… and those that don’t this is my little statement about short books…. I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that – short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer… but it is a short story. So with that said…. here is my review…
I was given this book for my honest thoughts… So let’s go..

First, I will tell you that I have read all of Ms. Gina’s work and nothing has ever disappointed me or left me hanging out in the cold. She is one of those authors that freaking rocks apples and flips my buttom… Hahaha.. I meant buttons! But if you know me, you would know that I really did mean she flips my buttom! She is one of those writers that you simply cannot get enough of – you stalk her till she writes more… Yea, I am that to her. This woman writes like no ones business. She is just that awesome. Hell, she is cupcake awesomeness!

Okay, story time… This is a short book… but please do not equate short with no good. Ohhh helll no!!! What Ms. Gina gave me in those pages was worth on hell’va story!

Let’s meet Amie first. She is one strong woman – in every aspect of her life. Surrounded by her friends… watching them falling in love, getting married, have babies. You know… getting all life has to offer. She is sadden by that; but she would not admit that to Carrie or Martina – her BFFs! No, she could never do that. Not that it would show weakness in her character, but just that is not her style. She wants the forever… she wants the white picket fence… she wants it all. But can she find a man that will give her the whole package, plus…. allow her to be herself in the bedroom or where ever the kink adventure would take her.

All of Milton’s life, he has taken care of everything for everyone. He has never known to have a moment to himself… Oh wait.. back in college when things were simple. But that changed the minuted he walked in the family business. His life was kinda planned out for him. But he did not think that his life would be on such a short leash of doing nothing for himself. No personal life, no girlfriends, no real relationships, nothing… But he didn’t mind.. doesn’t mind. He is not wanting the house, wife, 2.5 kids and pets. He really is not wanting any of that. He doesn’t want to let love in his heart because love has hurt to many people around him… Until he meets Amie…

Amie and Milton were two opposites until they really got to know one another and even then… They still needed to get to know one another better! What’s a little getting to know each other better mean to you…. **Big Grin** That’s what I thought… So, let the “getting to know each other better” begin! Two strong individuals come (Ha) together to make one hell’va story! One for sure they will want to tell their future kids… When they get older – of course!

Out of the whole Lingerie series Ms. Gina has…. THIS IS MY FAVORITE!!! Wanna know how much I love this story…. She had my girlie parts working overtime. Yea… That good! This is just an awesome story all the way around. Ms. Gina incorporated the whole gang in this series and that alone I love. I love when authors can bring the “family” together without overbearing the main characters story line. And Ms. Gina pulled this one off wonderfully well. Ms. Gina…. another awesome story! You rock my Smutty Hussy World!

Author Crawl Letter…. Who did I write to????

Kassa has brought us another year of wonderful letters to some awesome authors. And I am privileged enough to be asked to do this again this year… Last year was a complete hit and I found some new authors to check out. I know that this year will bring the same! I hope you have been following along!

I am not sure I could follow up behind Wren Boudreau from Nonsense and Little Things but I shall try….

Now let’s see what I can do…

I have read a lot of books by a lot of different authors. Last year, I touched on a few of them that shaped my reading habits to where I am today. But this time around, I wanted to do something a little different… I wanted to point out an author that I am not sure many of you know… So it is my mission to point her out of the crowd to you….

My letter goes out to a lady that has rocked my imagination world and made me spice up my lingerie drawer. She is a lady that loves her sweets as much as she does her hot sex….

Dear Gina Gordon,

Today, I get the chance to tell the world about you and what better way to start it off then by saying thank you… Thank you for giving me something to look forward to when I get on a bus (which can sometimes be a scary place…)… Thank you for making me take stock of my lingerie and spicing it up a bit. Thank you with providing me with some hot reading material.

You have a writing style that makes me feel like I am personally involved with your characters. That is one thing that keeps me coming back for more… That and the fact that you write about some freaking hot sex on a stick men. You have a knack for feeding the addiction of a Smutty Hussy Book-a-holic. Your canny sense of humor in your books makes me think that it is me and some friends in the book instead of just merely reading the book.

You have given me an escape from the world of which I dread sometimes. Your writing puts me in a place of hot loving, sexy scenes, passionate kisses and well… some delicious desserts sometimes! Your love for your craft comes across on the pages as the story unfolds… I have read everything you have written with a fever of excitement… knowing that you will give me what I want in the end! For those of you that know me… and those that don’t this is my little statement about short books…. I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that – short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer… but it is a short story. So with that said…. here is my review…

Ms. Gina has cranked out another hot little story. She knows all the buttons to push when writing a love story gone hot! =) She just keeps adding to MY To Keep Books… but I promise to share with you guys. This one is for all of you “cold” people… lol. I would say that this one is good to read by a fire… but hell… by the time you read it… you will be on fire!!! Then, to add to her story… she touched on a taboo issue… Work romance! Oh yea… you may not look at your co-worker you have been drooling over the same after reading this story…. Now.. let’s continue…

Caroline is an all business, no mixing kinda woman. She does not believe in office romance, she does not even believe in mixing business with pleasure. Nope… not her. She worked to hard to have her career ruined by some fling with a co-worker. But when she is not working… she loves to cut loose! And I have to admire her for cutting lose… She was a tad bit to straight laced for me in the beginning – only because her co-worker is Hayden the Hottie…. I mean come’on…. Just one roll in the imaginary hay with him… But seriously, I knew where she was coming from and I respected her for that.

But on the other hand… Hayden the Hottie… Oh man.. he was a man on a mission. At least he thought he was until he lost something that he knew he could not recovered from… Losing his heart to the one woman capable of breaking it… Even though he was the one set out to breaking her… Hayden won me over and over with his actions… He was just a real stand up guy…

Now when these two get thrown together for a four night/five day retreat for work, they have no choice but to get along. Just how well do they play together depends on how the walls of their personal space falls… I will have to leave you with these thoughts ((only because the book is short and I do not want to give it all away…))… Ms. Gina wowed me with the passion and drive of Hayden. I thoroughly enjoyed how pursuant he was and Caroline gave me a good chase… but with a man as determined as Hayden… Well hell, anyone’s wall would fall… or shake… or rattle… Oh yea… This is a hot little story!! Ms. Gina… job well done!!! Now when do I get more…. lol!!!!

I like the take-charge confidence and masculine presence of a man that knows what he wants and how to get it. I love that tortured soul with a rough exterior that turns to total goo when he finds his soul mate. I swoon over a man that takes control but knows exactly when to step back and give the heroine room to exercise her own strength. I like knowing that a man can get so riled up with want that he teeters on the edge of losing control—but of course never does. At least not with the heroine, but that doesn’t stop him from ripping off the head of the bad guy.

I recently watched the movie Speed with my husband for about the gazillionth time and I had forgotten that Jack Traven is the quintessential Alpha Male. Keanu Reeves is perfect in his portrayal of a bomb squad cop, his body buff and his hair buzzed. That white t-shirt and cargo pants just add to the sexy package. Damn that Sandra Bullock was a lucky gal. But I digress.

I am usually a fan of cowboys who can very much be Alpha Males, Lorelei James writes an Alpha cowboy like no other. But the image of a uniformed/military Alpha has been weighing heavy on my mind because of these:

Okay… Ms Gina is on fire with another freaking hot story. I have to say that this is one hot story with a sweet touch of love in it! Ms. Gina provided me with enough sexual pull that I thought I was going to have to go in the story and kick some ass to make them realize that they were in love! I loved it! This story reminded me of couple of friends that I have… you can see how they feel about each other… but apparently they don’t get it till it is almost to late. Ms. Gina…. You rock honey… Oh and I want a job at Bare Naked Designs….. Please?!?!?!!!

Now for the review you came for… I can’t give to much away because this is another short one, but let me tell you there is enough kink, a lot of hottness from Alexs and Carrie’s lingerie that will scorch the pages. There is enough hot dressing room sex to make you look at the dressing room a little different now… Hell,you might even want to take your better half with you next time you go to that special lady place, lol….

This couple is very dear because they have known each other forever and a day. They practically grew up together… but one problem… Carrie was always the younger sister who loved to tag along… So, being seen as the sexy, attractive woman that she is today ~ well… that proves to be her “almost” undoing…

If you want a hot little read about a woman who knows what she wants and a man who is evasive as hell about giving that said woman what she wants… Then this one is for you! Ohhh and not to mention the tender moments too… you know that ones that make you go, “Awe!”

And this one line had me laughing my ass off because it is soooo real to the real world…. Here is a little passage…

His date seemed to hold her own as Carrie eyed her angrily, but her look softened when she

looked up at Carrie’s man. Not her man. Aleks was not her man.

“I don’t think she’s being very nice.” She pouted her collagen lips, her words coming out

in baby talk.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” Carrie screamed.

Rob grabbed Carrie by the arm and yanked her back before she had the chance to lunge at

the fake blond.

I can easily seeing that being said and done and I love that again, Ms. Gina kept it real for me!!!! Now, how about that job Ms. Gina… please….. Awesome job at following up Forever in Lingerie and cannot wait for Bound in Lingerie!!!! You rock honey!

When Cecile asked me to come over and talk about a book that I would recommend, only one author came to mind, Lorelei James. Unfortunately, trying to pick one of her books was an impossible situation so I am picking ten—her entire her Rough Riders series. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

But just in case you don’t want to take my word for it, here are my top ten reasons why you should pick up a Rough Riders book today!
1. I’ll start with the most important reason because, after all, we are at the Smutty Hussy’s lair. All Lorelei James books have smoking, scorching, singe-you-fingers-on-the-pages, cause-your-e-reader-to-short-circuit sex.

2. Not only is the sex hot but it is different in every book and in every scene. There’s outdoor sex, group sex, public sex, missionary sex, tie-me-up-tie-me-down sex, sex-by-the-front-door-because-the-couple’s-too-hot-to-make-it-to-the-mattress sex…the list goes on and on.

3. The heroes are all strong, alpha males willing to go to great lengths to satisfy their women. They like control, they take it–sometimes without asking (: –wield it and leave their ladies a bone quivering, limp mass on the mattress. *sigh*

4. The heroines are strong, independent women who have their own lives and their own dreams that they continue to pursue even after meeting the hero. Most of the heroines even have their own businesses. You will not find any damsels in distress in these books.

5. Cowboys….’nough said!

6. Realistic characters and plots. These are down to earth characters with real life problems. Whether it be struggling with addiction, age differences, money trouble or taking care of a two-timing dead husbands love child, these couples always come through it stronger and ultimately more complete after having found each other.

7. You will always get a happily ever after!
8. Recurring characters. I love books that show you a glimpse of old characters or give you a taste of new characters to come. Each book can be read on its own but each book contributes to the larger dynamic of the McKay clan.

9. You will fall in love right along with the hero and heroine. You will experience every kiss, savor every touch, feel every flutter. Not only with the characters but with the state of Wyoming. I would totally visit this state just because of a fictional family. Ridiculous, I know, but what can I say, I love these books.

10. Family values. These books are filled with one big, nosy, loving, hating family.
There you have it. My top ten reasons why you should become a Lorelei James fan. For me, these books are the definition of erotic romance, and include all of the elements I look for when reading, and writing, a book.
