blurbLove is possible when the spirits move you.

Skinwalker Raven Walkingman is the number one cowboy, at the top of his game at the Darque and Knight rodeo. He has his animal spirit guides, good friends, and a fancy trailer. Raven prefers casual relationships, so when Rocket starts talking about mating as shifters do, Raven pulls up the stakes. He doesn’t need to fall for a ragtag cheetah.

Cat shifter Rocket is fast, but he only has so many lives left, and he spends more time injured than not. He’s the worst rider at Darque and Knight. Raven’s spirit guides adore him, though, and are more than happy to support him in his work and pursuit of Raven.

Raven and Rocket seem like an unlikely match, and sometimes it takes an otherworldly guide to make it right.

excerpt

Watching Rocket run on the little track at the now-defunct high school turned rodeo complex in… Crap. Kansas? Nebraska? Somewhere with corn. Watching that gave Raven a hell of an itch to scratch.

The little bastard was fast—no. Not fast. Breathtaking.

That speed glued Raven’s tongue to the roof of his mouth, and he wasn’t used to such an intense interest in a particular man.

Raven just needed to fuck Rocket into the mattress a few times. That would jostle this obsession out of him, get him back into his love-them-and-leave-them ways.

His dick told him he could do that right now, thanks.

Raven stared, fascinated by the way Rocket’s muscles moved, shifted, and rolled beneath the golden skin. He wanted to lick that flesh, wanted to rub against it. All of the spirits clamoring in his head agreed.

Rocket slowed, beginning to move alongside Blaine, the little bullfighter matching Rocket’s speed. The two of them were a pretty picture, and Raven gave up any pretense of working out, stopping to stare.

Denver chuckled softly, surprising him. “They can move, huh? All that work and they still want to run afterward. I just want a fucking beer.”

“No shit.” Raven did like Denver. A lot. “Pretty, though.”

“Both of them. You gonna play some?”

“Well, not with your Blaine.” He winked when Denver growled. “But yeah. I am.”

“Never heard anyone complain, honey.” Denver winked. “Of course, you and I never did get around to trying each other out.”

“And now you’re all taken.” He shook his head in mock sorrow. Denny and him, they would have ended up bruised and bloody and only done it once. Might have been worth it, though.

Denver’s smile was slow and wicked. “Pity for you, King Raven. I’d have made you beg for more.”

Blaine began to head over, the little wolf sensitive as all fuck. He could probably sense the vibrations of Denver’s cock or something. God knew the hot bastard was tossing off pheromones left and right.

“Mmm. No one has ever made me beg, Green.” He loved the kitty cavalcade nickname for Denver.

“No?” Denver grabbed him, squeezed him tight, and the embrace was fond and warm, only the slightest bit sexual. “Have fun tonight, man. Don’t break him. I sorta think Blaine’s fond.”

“I’ll only give him what he wants. I don’t do force.” Raven hugged back, smelling wolf scent and pot smoke and a deep sense of happiness in Denny.

So much more present than Dent had been.

The thought of the fallen bullfighter brought his wolf spirit to full focus, though, the need to comfort Denny instinctual. Losing a twin had to be like getting part of your soul torn out.

Denny looked at him, eyes knowing for a moment and the sudden wave of loss nearly knocked him off his feet, then Blaine touched Denver’s arm and it eased back to something reasonable, something bearable.

Raven released Denver, who turned and snagged Blaine, their strong bodies rubbing in the best way possible. “You done running with the cheetah, baby?” Denver asked.

“I am. Did you see him? He can’t maintain it long, but… shit, he doesn’t have to.”

“He’s quick,” Raven agreed. “Better runner than a bullrider, for sure.”

“Oh, shit. Rocket’s the world’s shittiest bullrider. Him and Ben Ursa should form a club.” Denver had more than a little evil in him.

Blaine chuckled. “Ben is good with horses. Rocket needs to find something to do with his running.”

“Yeah. Yeah, he does. Later.” Denny shot Blaine a look that was pure need. “Later.”

“Uh-huh.”

blurbLittle bear comes into his own.

Ben Ursa has been out of the Midnight Rodeo game for a while, recovering from a terrible head injury. When he comes back, he finds a whole new place in the pecking order, his trained horses in high demand.

He also finds rodeo clown and grizzly shifter, Ozzie, who rejected him for being too young before. Now Ozzie thinks he’s just right, even if he is a little black bear. Can Ben really recover and become Ozzie’s mate, or will his family scheme to keep him “little bear”?

ARe

excerpt

Man, the bullfighters all have their panties in a wad. I hope to hell they settle it out.” Ozzie wiped makeup off his forehead, growling a little at Thack’s assistant, January.

You and me and the boss and the big boss and every other creature here, sir.”

Sir.

God, the wee little brownie was adorable. Such a cutie, with his little square glasses and his tiny soul patch of a beard.

Squishable.

Ozzie wanted to hug January and lick him, maybe. Definitely sniff him. Ozzie reined in his bear tendencies, which could crop up at the least convenient times. His desire wasn’t even sexual. More teddy bear like.

So, tell me about the next venue,” Ozzie said. Their next stop was at a brand new arena.

It’s near Santa Fe, sir. A charming arena with adequate facilities and a fabulous local pool of talent. They’re… surprisingly active there.”

Are they? Good. We need more talent in the timed events.”

Yes. Yes, I believe Ben Ursa will be rejoining us. Mr. Thackery is very pleased.”

Ben? Ben Ursa?

Poor kid. Ozzie remembered him well, and not only for his name, which was as bad as Osbourne McMahon. Bear Son of the Bear. Ben Ursa was Grizzly Adams meeting Latin.

They get his brains all unrattled? Last time I saw him, he was in a bad way.”

That depends on who you ask. January, I need the manifests for the drivers.” Thack nodded to Ozzie as January scrambled.

Oh. Poor kid. But he’s good to ride?” He had to admit he’d had a thing for Ben, but he’d ignored it, waiting for the kid to be more confident. Hell, he felt like shit over it because the night the kid had gotten hurt, Ben tried to make a move on Ozzie, which he rebuffed.

He wanted Ben to be all grown-up first.

He’s got a hard head.” Thack shrugged. “Shit, man, you know the kid is terrible at his job. He trains the best horses, though.”

He does.” Good hazing, roping, and bulldogging horses were worth their weight in gold in their business. Worth enough to give a bad bulldogger a job. “I’ll have to stop by his trailer and say hi.”

It would be good to have another bear on tour again. Someone who understood about naps and salmon. Mmm. Salmon. He did love that stuff. Honey, too.

He’s in the big black trailer with the bear painted on it.”

Good deal.” He’d drop by on his way to get some food. Wave. Sniff some.

Thack nodded. “Good show, man.”

Thank you.” Ozzie loved his job. He got to play on his natural bearish clumsiness and be a smart-ass at the same time.

Thack smiled, and Jesus fuck, that was creepy. All teeth and horns. Demons. Scary like whoa sometimes.

Ozzie waved and headed to see the little bear. Wow. That trailer was nicer than his. Way nicer.

Little Ben had family with money, with land, with amazing horses. Talk about a bear with a silver honey spoon in his mouth.

Ozzie grinned. Of course, the kid had also been hurt so bad a few seasons ago that he had to learn how to walk all over again. That meant the kid had grit. Determination.

He knocked on the trailer door, the little bear’s voice ringing out. “Coming!”

Ozzie tried to peer inside, but the window by the door was too small to get a good view.

The door opened up, bright button eyes shining at him from Ben’s smiling face. “Oz!”

Hey, buddy.” Oh, look at that. Ben looked so much better than he had last time Ozzie had seen him.

Come in. Come in. I just got here.” Ben was little for a bear, but a solid, broad shouldered man with a shock of pitch-black hair. He looked healthier, the skinny and pallor wore clean off from when he’d been hurt.

Thanks. Thack said you were back.”

I’m trying to be, yeah. It was touch and go.”

Well, I’m glad you’re better, kiddo.” Man, the inside of the fifth wheel was amazing, a big kitchen and a huge platform bed visible in the back.

Have a sit.”

The place was like a rolling condo—someone’s momma wanted to assure her cub was comfortable and safe.

He didn’t even have to move dirty clothes off the built-in sofa before he sat. “Nice place.”

Yeah. Momma Bear. You know.”

I do.” He’d met Ben’s mom. She was something else.

Ben blushed, head ducking, and Ozzie saw the scar, heavy and thick against his scalp. Damn.

Hey, my mom still packs my lunch when she comes to visit. Smoked salmon tea sandwiches,” Ozzie said.

I like smoked salmon. Lots. You want a beer?”

Honey wheat?”

Ben nodded. “I got a six-pack. You’re off work, hmm?”

I am.” He settled back, just—Man, it was nice to have another bear around, the scent familiar. Comforting. He forgot, sometimes, how alone he felt. Seeing Ben reminded him how much he’d liked the kid, too.

Little Ben brought him a beer, settling down across from him, all grins. Such a cutie. Really, Ozzie felt a little pervy around Ben. Just a little. Ben was gentle, peaceful, not a bit of growl in him.

Ozzie grinned. He had a lot of grr. A lot of grizzly.

blurbTrust comes at a price.

Jenson Parkinson can’t believe it when Sloane Marlen shows up at his Colorado mountain fire station. They were lovers years ago, until Sloane broke Jenson’s trust, and his heart.

Sloane knows he’s not guilty of the misdeeds Jenson believes he committed, but he never figured out how to convince Jenson. Or how to get over him. Can Sloane grab this second chance with both hands and teach Jenson he’s worthy of trust… and love?

ARe

excerpt

“The training session will start tomorrow morning at nine AM.” Jenson looked at his guys, some of them volunteer, a few career, and gave them the stern eye. “I know we all have jobs to do, but they’re expecting a wildfire season like no other this year thanks to the drought, and the Forestry Service wants all able bodied personnel to be able to dig firelines, offer support to hot shots and smokejumpers, and know how not to die.”

They all murmured, but no one argued. Carroll, Colorado was big enough to have a permanent fire crew only because of the ski areas that surrounded it, the population transient but relatively wealthy. Their very existence in this Rocky Mountain paradise was predicated on the fact that people had expensive homes and vacation rentals which they’d never let burn down. Jenson frickin’ loved his life. He didn’t want to have to move back to Denver or Boulder or someplace.

“They’re sending several scientists who should help map possible fire routing and containment, as well as two of their lead trainers in hot shots and smokejumping. In addition to our regular duties, we’ll be giving full attention and support to the training team so that we can deploy and offer assistance during the wildfire season. Clear?”

His men and women all nodded, and Jenson gave them all a tight smile. “Good deal. Assignments have been posted for the new shifts. See Josh for all the deets.” Jenson left the meeting room, ready to get on with his day as best he could. He had to get the station ready for the influx of personnel he was about to have, not just the trainers but the firefighters from other small towns around the area. He knew it was a coup for the mayor that Carroll was chosen for this big get together of high mucky mucks, but really, all he knew was he was going to be handing out coffee and doughnuts to a bunch of assholes who did a lot of dick measuring and making a mess in his territory.

“You ready for this, Cap?” Carson Diets asked. Carson was a Forestry guy, and he worked closely with the Carroll department to keep their area clear and keep the campers educated.

“No.” He winked, though, trying for light and happy. “If I get through this without losing my shit we’ll all be grateful. It’s good for the guys, though, right? Trading ideas and shit.”

“Yep.” Carson stepped close and lowered his voice. “There are a couple of real big names in the biz coming, Jenson. Just be diplomatic, huh?”

“Don’t make you look bad, is that what you’re saying?” He grimaced. “Come on, man, I got your back. You know that.”

“I do know that.” Carson clapped him on the back. “I also know you have a reputation for ruling this place with an iron fist and being pissy when someone invades your territory.”

“Well, I’ll try to be all sweetness and light. I don’t suppose you have a roster of who’s coming so I can prepare myself?”

“I do.” Carson pulled out his phone. “I’ll email it to you.”

“Great. Thanks.” His head started to throb, his temples tight and his neck freezing up. Lord. He needed more coffee before he could deal with this shit. His phone chimed, an email popping up from Carson when he looked at his notifications. Jenson walked into his office and set up his K-Cup coffee maker for a hazelnut cream latte. That was his one luxury, because he was from Boulder, dammit. He loathed the Folgers sludge the other guys seemed to adore so much.

He sat at his desk and opened the email, a forward of an interdepartmental memo. When he read the list of presenters, Jenson’s eyes widened. Oh, Jesus fuck. No way. He tried to blink away the name he’d just read, but when he opened his eyes it was still there.

Sloane Marlen.

Jenson leaned back in his chair, letting his head thunk against the backrest. He hadn’t seen Sloane since they were probies, and he really never wanted to see the bastard again.

There wasn’t enough coffee on earth to make this shitty day better now. Jenson was never gonna make it through tomorrow.

“Full Moon Dating. Have you tried our online site? Yes, I’m afraid you do have to go through the screening process. Really? I’ll be sure to tell 911 when I call them, you sick fuck.” The phone in the outer office slammed down with the musical jingle only an old rotary phone could make.

Very privately, Stone thought that was why Adelia had chosen that phone, and the very film noir detective office vibe she’d used to decorate her domain. It went with the pencil skirt and high-waisted blouse fashion statement she chose every day as well.

She appeared at his door, her victory roll (she had informed him they were called that when he referred to them as “those curly things”) hairdo just slightly mussed, signaling agitation. “Okay, I’m going to start sending the nutbag wannabe paranormals to you, boss. That guy wanted to date a vampire, so he could be a serial killer without actually having to kill someone.”

Stone sat back in his chair and raised a brow. “You’re way meaner than me, Ades. You deal with them so well.”

“There are some crazy bastards out there, boss.” He could almost see her tail, white-tipped and fuzzy, twitching.

“I know. That’s why this business is going to boom.” Stone grinned, tickled as hell that they had an office and a website. Now they just needed to facilitate their first couple, so they could get some testimonials.

Adelia gave him the hairy eyeball and then shook her head. “So, when do you want to go over the sheets?”

“Let’s look at them for an hour or so tonight. I’ve already run the points of comparison database.” They had stuff in their questionnaire that those other match and mingle sites didn’t have. Lots of stuff.

Between his business and marketing savvy and Harve’s computer and psych training, they had a winner, right?

“You got it, boss. I think I already have a couple of good dates in mind.” She waggled her brows.

“I bet they’re gay,” he murmured. Adelia was obsessed with the idea of two men together. That was why she worked for him.

“You think?” She flipped him off, playfully.

“Well, put them at the top of the pile.”

“Top of the pile for Mr. City Wolf and Mr. Country Wolf.”

“Oh, man.” He chuckled. “Tell me why they’re a match?”

“A little red wolf photographer from Dallas who’s had ‘bad luck with long-term commitment’ and a huge gray from up north looking for someone to ‘make his mate.’ It’s perfect.”

“Really?” He grabbed the folders she handed him and flipped through them. “Uh, little red is not into spanking.”

She snorted. “He’s stressed out and overworked. He might like it.”

“Adelia.”

“What?”

“We have to match them based on actual interests.” Maybe he’d ask Harve.

“Says who?”

“We’re a dating service!” He was trying hard not to smile. Harve was the psychologist slash computer geek. Adelia was the psychic. He was pretty damned sure of it.

“And we’re run by an incredibly observant business magnate.”

“Indeed.” He shook his head at her. “You’re such a freak.”

“Yeah, but I’m your freak and you adore me.”

“I do.” He gave her a fond grin before she trotted back out front to answer the phone, her heels clicking. Stone stared at the two folders on the top of the pile. The more he thought about the cowboy wolf from Wyoming who liked to top and the fussy little red from Dallas, the more he liked it.

Maybe he’d skip Harve altogether.

Stone picked up the phone and dialed the number in folder one. “Hello, Aiden Underhill? This is the Full Moon Dating site manager. You’re our grand prize winner this month. You’ve won an all-expenses paid trip to Jackson Hole.”

blurbSometimes a bear is more than just a bear.

Oscar is a socially awkward bear who’s not like the other bear shifters in Colorado. He’s a white spirit bear, and he works as a phone psychic. When he decides to try the Grizzly List weekly, he’s only looking for a friend, knowing love isn’t in the cards for him.

Firefighter Patrick is an outgoing grizzly shifter who’s happy to meet Oscar and give him whatever he needs, as long as Oscar doesn’t need a mate. Patrick doesn’t believe in fated mates.

Can these two teach each other that what they want and what they need aren’t the same thing?

ARe Amazon Kobo iTunes

excerpt

Oscar couldn’t do this.

He couldn’t.

He stopped on the sidewalk where he could see the grizzly in the coffee shop, waiting. Patrick was… beautiful. Dark and strong and fine and large.

He wasn’t. Not dark or strong or large or fine.

Or brave.

He was whatever the polar opposite of brave was. Cowardly? Stupid scared? Craven? That was it. Craven.

He chuckled, making a lady walking her dog look at him oddly and he ducked his head, backed away. Oscar shifted from foot to foot, trying to decide what to do.

Finally Oscar backed into the shadows where he could see Patrick, but Patrick couldn’t see him, and texted. “I’m sorry. I can’t do this. I’m not brave.”

He watched Patrick pull out his phone, then frown.

Oh, he sucked. “Please don’t frown. I’m not good at new things and I’m just… I’m so sorry and you’re so…” Beautiful. Perfect. Stunning. Sexy. “…fine.”

Patrick didn’t text back. He just hit one button. Oscar’s phone started to ring.

He almost didn’t answer, but that would have been mean and he was a coward, not mean. “Hey.”

“Hey, Oscar.” Patrick didn’t sound angry. That was good, right? “What’s the matter?”

“You’re stunning and I’m stupid?” That was the best answer he had. His heart was racing, going pitter patter.

Patrick looked around. “So you can see me? You’re not stupid. You’re so neat I want to talk with you in person.”

They’d chatted for an hour or more every day.

“I can. I didn’t expect to feel so scared. You’re totally my friend and I just…” He stepped forward, out into the light.

“Hey!” Patrick stood and walked outside, leaving his stuff at the table. “There you are.” The hug Patrick enveloped Oscar in felt like home.

“Oh.” Oscar hummed and hugged right back, all the fear disappearing like a puff of smoke. “Hello.”

“Hi. See, it’s just nerves. Come sit with me.” Patrick shot him a warm, happy grin.

“Yeah. Are there good pastries today?” Patrick was so tall and wide. Oscar felt like a little bear, which he wasn’t. Patrick was just—wow. Large and warm and he smelled so good.

“Mmm. They have maple sticky buns.”

“Oh.” They headed in and the scents amazed him, heavy and heady in his nose. His eyes crossed, and Patrick chuckled.

“Right? It gets huge sometimes.”

“Yeah, exactly. The biggest.” Scents were so important to bears.

“What would you like?” Patrick asked. “I’ll grab it for you.”

“I’d like a cinnamon bun latte and whatever pastry you’re having.” He wanted to taste Patrick’s favorite.

“Cool.” Patrick pressed a hand to his shoulder on the way by, the touch making him tingle.

It was. Cool. It was better than cool. Oscar felt awake and aware, like he was lit up. Like Christmas. He was buzzing hard enough he really didn’t need the coffee.

When it showed up, though, it smelled like pure heaven and he took a sip, loving how the sweet spiciness tasted. The sticky bun looked like heaven on a plate, too.

Patrick sat across from him. “There. Better.”

“I’m sorry, huh? I don’t do this much.”

“No problem. You didn’t run. You told me what you needed. I’m proud.”

Oscar felt his cheeks heat and he ducked his head. “Thanks.”

blurbHe always wanted a bear to keep him warm at night…

Lane knows want he wants in a lover, but hasn’t been able to find the perfect bear of a man in his small Colorado hometown. So he turns to the Grizzly List, a regional personal ad service for bears and their lovers. He’s not sure what to expect when he meets Fin, but what he gets might be his perfect man.

Bear shifter Fin has been looking for someone with whom to spend his days, nights, and winter hibernation. He’s a happy guy, but needs someone who wants a big, burly, slightly dominant mate. When he meets Lane, Fin knows he’s found what he needs, but will he be able to convince Lane that they’re made for one another, in human form and bear?

excerpt

Bear wanted for cute bottom. Looking for 30-40yo bear, ddf, kind but firm. Seeking companionship/ relationship. Want to cook for you, cuddle, and explore physical possibilities. Hairy a must, uncut a plus. Send photos and response to inbox 4125.

Finley bit his lower lip, trying to decide if he should reply or not.

He hadn’t had the world’s best luck with personal ads. This was his first try on the Grizzly List, which his friend Egan assured him would be way better than Craigslist. They specialized in getting bears together with men who loved them.

Oh, it wasn’t that Fin didn’t want to have sex, but every ad he’d answered so far was just from someone who wanted a quick hookup, and they all wanted him to wear a leather harness and spank them.

That was an awful lot of work. Fin liked the idea of cuddling, and of someone pampering him a little. God knew he loved to play the hot and heavy game, but that came later. He hoped the guy who placed this ad really liked to cook, and maybe knew how to make a honey cake.

Oh, honey.

Fin attached two pictures of himself from the neck down, with his swim trunks on, and added a tiny message.

Love to cuddle, watch movies, hang out in the hot tub. Hairy, uncut, looking for long-term. Let’s meet.

His cheeks heated just typing “uncut” but that was the truth, and what this cute guy seemed to want, so what the heck? Fin took a deep breath and hit send, because he’d left his phone number in there, too. Wow. Okay.

Here went another try. He hoped it worked out better than the last few. If it didn’t, well, there was always hibernation.
