blurbHome Is Where the Heat Is, Book 2

As far as Chloe Garrison is concerned, Nick Westing was carved by the gods. Her one and only plan while visiting her best friend in Texas: get that sexy cowboy into her bed as often as possible until it’s time to return to New York.

After a whirlwind week she slips away, thinking it best to make a clean break. Except she can’t get Nick out of her head. And when he unexpectedly walks into her office, her first instinct is to find her defenses before she loses her panties.

Nick jumped at the chance to accompany his brother to New York for a photo shoot, but now that he’s here, he’s pissed. Seems Chloe is doing everything in her power to ignore him. The tender part of him understands her need for space.

The wilder side of him teases and torments her until she finally admits she’s missed him. Even though she walks away, in his book it’s a win. Because one way or another, he’s going to convince her they belong together.

“Sexy and soft,” he murmured.

He almost laughed when she sat up, her eyes hard. “I’m not soft. I just love Miya to death.”

“It’s a form of softness, and it’s nothin’ to get all riled about.” Man, she was prickly. “You love your friend. That’s great. It tells a lot about who you are inside. And it shows me that when you shake off the city, you’d fit in perfectly in small-town life.”

Her entire frame stiffened. “Yeah, well small towns are not in my future. It would be suffocating.”

“That’s too bad. Seems to me you like it here. A lot more than you admit.” He’d pegged her for the no-commitment type, but he hoped to convince her to hang in with him for a bit. Even with the distance between them, just to see what they could be. That didn’t mean he needed her it’s-not-you-it’s-me attitude. “Whatever you decide. I’m here for the party. If you say these last days are all we are, so be it. If you want to try at long distance, great. Either way, I figure you should know I’m here if you want to give it a go beyond sex.”

“Nick!” Shawn shouted. “Come on!”

Nick backed away. “We good?”

She nodded. “Yeah. We’re good.”

He smiled, wondering how quick she planned to run now that he’d mentioned something more than sex. “I’ll be back soon.”

excerptHe made a noise that she could only assume was agreement with her plan. So, yesterday wasn’t a fluke—his default was rude. It should have killed her attraction to him, but of course it didn’t.

Resigned, she led the way down the corridor and she had to stop again. Swords, axes, dirks and other weapons decorated the main room. They’d proudly hoisted their family crest above the display.

He shook his head likely taking her moment of reverence as confusion. “You should have done your research. The castle was built—”

“In 1206,” she finished for him and then pointed to a horn that sat below the swords and crest. “Would you mind taking that down? It’s not on the list, but that doesn’t mean I can’t talk my way into getting it included.”

He took it down but didn’t hand it to her. “White metal mounts—”

“German silver was used for the mounts. I’m going to assume, until I can do further research, that it’s from the 19th century. The thistle etching along the neck is a bit worn, but the domed cap is intact.” She squinted. “It seems to have the original chain. Based on what I know, this style wasn’t actually used to hold gunpowder. They were mainly worn as decoration as part of the Highland dress.”

“Show off,” he muttered but she caught a twitch of his lips.

That set the tone for the next two hours as they roamed room to room. She’d find something of interest, either he or she would give the full break down, and then the loser would mutter an insult.

Interview and #Giveaway: A Vixen in Venice by @KateDeveaux @GoddessFish

BookCover_AVixenInVeniceblurbHe’s an art thief on the run…with her heart

Look closer, into Hotel Totally Five Star Venice, where art curator Monique Le Bres has just walked through the doors of the newly opened swanky luxury hotel to assist with their art collection.

Alessandro Bonnard, the world-renowned art connoisseur and collector has been sent incognito to supervise Monique and oversee her acquisitions for the hotel.

Concealing his true identity, Alessandro is intrigued by the art-loving vixen with an appetite for kinky sex. He pursues Monique, charming her at every turn — taking her to places she’s never been — both in and out of bedroom.

Monique falls hard for the man who has utterly captured her body and soul. Only to find out he isn’t who she thought he was after all…he’s an art thief on the run…with her heart.

Hi. Welcome to All I Want and More. We’re glad to have you here.

Thank you so much for having me, I am delighted to be here!

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I love to write toe curling erotic romance, but when I’m not writing I like, no make that love, to play tennis, cook, entertain friends, and I’ll travel anywhere at the drop of a hat. Oh, and did I mention I’m a die hard romantic? So that usually means my choice for travel is somewhere romantic and usually with Mr. Deveaux.

In this book, who was your favorite character to write and why?

Monique is hands down my favorite character. She is so sassy and brash and wants so desperately to leave her trailer park roots back in Kansas and make her mark in the art world in Venice that she’ll do just about anything. But under her tough as nails exterior, she’s sinfully sensual and not at all shy in the bedroom, and that makes for a very interesting combo when she meets her match in the worlds renowned art collector Alessandro.

What 3 words would you use to describe your main characters?

Smart, passionate and adventuresome.

Can you tell us a little bit about this book? Maybe a little snippet?

This book was really fun to write, dreaming up the “art caper” and writing some really really fiery sex scenes all set in Venice, and sometimes al fresco J Told you I was enjoying being naughty!

Here’s a little snippet:

Waiting a good half hour, Monique was quite sure the coast was clear after her supervisor had departed. Weary from her travels she couldn’t wait to get back to her nice room and fall fast asleep in the sumptuous looking bed.

Stepping out of her office, Monique headed for the elevator at the end of the hall, noticing each door she passed had a nametag with identifiers. Sales the Direttore Vendite.  Food and Beverage. Diretorre del Marketing. Director of Marketing and so on.

The subdued hush of voices from an adjoining hallway made Monique stop in her tracks. Pausing, she listened. The soft giggles intrigued her. Tiptoeing towards the sound, she peered around the corner. Near the end of the hall, she glimpsed Donovan’s silhouette as he leaned against a woman, kissing her. His hands holding hers above her head as she hooked one long leg around his waist, pulling him closer to her as they embraced passionately.

Monique’s key slipped from her hand and tinkled noisily on the wood floor. Mouth agape, her cheeks flamed as Donovan looked up and nodded to her from down the long hallway. Then the woman looked at her too. Monique immediately recognized the young blonde with the pixie cut hair and the cute little body from the lobby. The one she’d seen Donovan pat on the ass when Monique had first arrived.

The young woman merely smiled at Monique, her legs still wrapped around her supervisor’s hips, and then returned to kissing Donovan. Running her hands along his wide shoulders before he spun her around and planted his hands on her ass, pulling her too him. Hard. Monique looked away, but then back again. Strangely aroused at the unbridled passion, she was aware her nipples peaked under her silk blouse as she watched his hands slide over her curves and slide up and then up and under her skirt.

How do you go about picking character names? Do you have to get them just right and make sure they fit with the characters personality?

Character names just pop into my head. Names I like, names that seem to suit the personality of the character. Sometimes, I am forced to change names I like because they may be too similar to another character in the book, like an Amelia and Andy, that kind of thing. Also, if I hear a name I like I usually jot it down.

We’re cover hussies..What was your first impression of this cover?

The cover perfectly captures the seductive tone of the book, both the heroine and the setting. At Totally Bound, my publisher, they are simply marvelous at listening to the author’s vision and then creating a terrific cover.

What does writing mean to you?

I can’t imagine not writing. I’m one of those people who loves to write letters, grocery lists, anything pretty much. In college I’d opt for an essay anytime.

What do you hope readers take away after reading one of your books?

My books are entertainment, and I hope that my writing gives my readers both pleasure and an escape from the demands of everyday life. Not only is the sex scalding, but I hope the romantic tension stirs my reader to read on. It’s my hope that my readers feel they are right there in the setting I’ve created, experiencing the challenges and triumphs as if they were themselves in the book.

If you had a technology free day, what would you do?

I love to do a little gardening and then sit down read a really good book (paperback) in the shade and then do some daydreaming. A technology free day is perfect for that!

What are you currently working on?

Just finishing up Bottoms Up, a naughty cocktail themed erotic romance. My next new release is COCKPIT, due out this summer. The heroine rocks, she’s a commercial airplane pilot. How neat is that? I had so much fun writing it and researching…

Sexiest feature on a man? Smile.

Boxers, Briefs or Commando? Boxers

What is on your night stand/dresser? Lip gloss, photo of Mr. Deveaux and me, copy of the Principal’s Office by Jasmine Haynes and Covet by Tracey Garvis-Graves, earplugs and a sleep mask. Need my beauty sleep!

Cowboy or businessman? Cowboy all the way.

Tattoos or piercings? Tattoos

I wish you all a sinfully sexy summer read!

Smiling, the hotel clerk handed her the large gold room key.

“Signorina Le Bres, benvenuti a Venezia.” She welcomed Monique warmly. “Signor Amatus will be here un momento to escort you to your suite.” The mix of English and Italian words was enchanting to Monique, so far from the small dirt filled town back in Kansas that she’d dragged herself out so many years ago where the only foreign language spoken was pig Latin if you were lucky and grow up on the right side of the tracks. Monique hadn’t even been that lucky, the rusted out trailer she’d shared with her mother couldn’t have been further from the right side of anything.

“Grazie.” Monique took the gold key, noting how large and heavy it was in the palm of her hand. Almost ominous of what lay ahead. No slick electronic keys at this hotel. No, this was one hundred percent Italian luxury. The key began to heat in her grasp as she glanced around for the man who was supposed to greet her.

The elevator door dinged, catching her attention.

Monique’s mouth dropped open. A good looking twenty-something man dressed in employee issued suit exited. His robust laughter had caught her attention with his momentarily flirtation with a sexy young woman dressed in the hotel uniform that made Monique smirk as the man patted her ass when he passed. A first rate flirter for sure, she made a mental note to steer clear.

Monique’s smirk turned into a frown as the man kept walking straight towards Monique.

“There he is, Signor Amatus,” the clerk behind the counter called to Monique while she stood somewhat transfixed as the flirter approached. He really was young. Could he really be her supervisor? Not at all what she’d been expecting. Maybe mid twenties if she was generous. Barely legal age back in the states and good ten to fifteen years younger than her she was quite sure.

“Ah, Signorina Le Bres…”

“Yes, I am Monique Le Bres.” She extended her hand. He wasted no time sliding it into his and reaching it to his mouth. Pausing before kissing the back of her palm, his gaze stayed fixed on hers.

“Incantanto,” his words almost a whisper.

These Italian men were skilled at the art of flirtation; there was no denying that. But the sooner she made it clear to him that she was all work and no play the better it would be for both of them.

“I am Donovan Amatus, please allow me welcome to you to Hotel Totally Five Star Venezia. I am sure you will be molto comfortable here.”

The wicked glint in his eyes made her blush and fume at the same time. “I’m the new art curator,” Monique scrambled to say something, trying not blurt out what she was really thinking. That it was actually both flattering and maddening all at the same time to be flirted with by this young stud with the wandering eyes only moments after her arrival at the hotel.

“I know, si. Art Curator,” he said, releasing her hand but not before running it lightly over his lips. “I will be your liaison while you are here, answer any questions you have. Work with you side by side. Fianco a fianco,” he repeated the words in Italian, his tone so intimate that she was lost for a moment as she studied his nametag.

Donovan Amatus, Del controllo qualità.

Quality Control Manager. A vague memory of her letter of employment and that name stuck in her head but she was damned if she could reconcile the young man in front of her with her supervisor. Surely there had been some mix up. This young man couldn’t possibly be supervising her and the forty million euro budget the CEO had entrusted her with.

“The key Signorina?” he prompted.

Speechless she just stood there.

“La chiave, the key, per favore?” He repeated and then reached to take the key from her grip. “Follow me Signorina Le Bres.”

“Oh, please call me Monique.”

“You Americans are so friendly,” he said with a smile as he led her toward the elevator, placing his hand firmly around her waist.

Summoning her most professional demeanor she slipped from his hold and stepped into the elevator.

“I am sure you will be very happy working here at the hotel Totally Five Star Venezia.” He said as he punched the fifth floor button.

Monique tried to focus on what she was there for, her dream job and not the leering eyes of her so-called supervisor. “Yes, I’m sure I will. Mr. Conroy’s letter of employment said I could start to work tomorrow.”

“Assolutamente,” he confirmed. “Tomorrow. But first I show you your room, bene?”

Interview and #Giveaway: Rite of Summer by @tessbowery ~ @GoddessFish

BookCover_RiteOfSummerblurbThere are terrors worse than stage fright. Like falling in love.

Violinist Stephen Ashbrook is passionate about three things—his music, the excitement of life in London, and his lover, Evander Cade. It’s too bad that Evander only loves himself. A house party at their patron’s beautiful country estate seems like a chance for Stephen to remember who he is, when he’s not trying to live up to someone else’s harsh expectations.

Joshua Beaufort, a painter whose works are very much in demand among the right sort of people, has no expectations about this party at all. Until, that is, he finds out who else is on the guest list. Joshua swore off love long ago, but has been infatuated with Stephen since seeing his brilliant performance at Vauxhall. Now he has the chance to meet the object of his lust face to face—and more.

But changing an open relationship to a triad is a lot more complicated than it seems, and while Evander’s trying to climb the social ladder, Stephen’s trying to climb Joshua. When the dust settles, only two will remain standing…

Welcome to All I Want and More. We’re glad to have you here.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I live near the ocean, which sounds lovely, except when it snows. I’m an historian by training, and my day job is in the theatre. It’s the combination of both of those things that led me into writing about performing artists in the 19th century. I’ve loved the regency, like most of us, since reading Austen in high school, and I fell into writing it through an online role playing game that’s set in 1811.

What else is interesting? I read too many comic books. I hate slasher horror but I love ghost stories and haunting ‘documentaries’ – the creepier and more outlandish the claims the better! I’m completely addicted to The Haunted, which is an Animal Planet ghost-hunter show, of all things. Spooky campfire stories and puppies! It’s like the perfect combination of comfort food and adrenaline.

In this book, who was your favorite character to write and why?

Joshua was the easiest and the most fun. He’s got an exasperated mental running commentary on the world around him that was such a joy to slide into, especially on grumpy days. He’s also very sure of himself, and his own worth, unlike Stephen who is perpetually in a kind of insecure flux. When writing Stephen I always had to keep his state of mind forefront in mine, because his moods were mercurial and changed quickly in reaction to plot events, while Joshua is both less overly dramatic, and more consistent.

Stephen drives both of us a little bit insane, to tell you the truth, but Joshua gets by far the better end of the deal. 😉

What 3 words would you use to describe your main characters?

Evander: Charming, sly, narcissistic.

Stephen: Intense, passionate, impulsive.

Joshua: Still waters, deep.

Can you tell us a little bit about this book? Maybe a little snippet?

I would love to! Rite of Summer is the story of two artists, Joshua Beaufort and Stephen Ashbrook, and takes them through the summer and fall of 1810 in England. The art world at the time was, as it is now (and I say this as a theatre professional, and with the utmost love for my peeps), something of a haven for miscreants and those who march to their own beat. The beautiful thing about it is that those who take up music or visual art, do so because they have stories to tell.

In Stephen’s case, he’s a prodigy of a violinist. He and his first love ran away to the city together as young men, they’ve since settled in London. The two of them compose and play music for a wealthy patron, and have become something of a hit among the Ton, which comes with invitations and opportunities to play before the rich and powerful. As the book opens, they receive an invitation – which is really a command – to come to a country house party and stay for a few weeks.

Joshua, on the other hand, is generally content with a quiet life in the countryside. His long-time lover died at sea a few years ago, and he retreated to his cousin’s estates to brood, and to paint. He gets dragged along with the family when they’re invited to the same house party, and his and Stephen’s worlds collide.

It’s never that simple, of course – Stephen already has a lover, although they frequently invite other men into their bed – and Joshua has been lusting after Stephen since he saw him in concert the previous year. The story comes when all those conflicting emotions, desires and passion-plays collide. We start with a couple, move to a triad, and end with a different couple altogether, with happy endings coming to those who deserve them.

I’ll give you a piece from one of my favorite scenes. News has just come from London about a raid on a prominent molly house – a gay bar of the time. Many of Stephen’s friends have been arrested for ‘acts against nature,’ and two of them executed.

Meanwhile, Lady Horlock, Joshua’s cousin and patroness, has become suspicious of the amount of time he’s been spending with the two musicians, and is trying to find proof that he’s morally ‘unsound.’ In this era, that would mean his arrest, and likely his death.

In this snippet, Joshua and Stephen are meeting secretly in the stables, trying to decide what to do next.

“Did you know them?” Joshua asked quietly after hours seemed to have drifted by.

Ashbrook nodded, and there was exhaustion laced through his voice when he replied, “Yes, though Cade knew them better. I don’t understand all this hatred,” he continued, not moving from Joshua’s half embrace. “Unless this is our punishment for sin. Why can we not be left alone to live our lives as we choose?”

The question cut to the core of things, and Joshua closed his eyes. Pain sliced through his heart, knowing the things that were impossible. And a glimmer of hope, for the things that weren’t. “In some places, we could be. England is not the sum total of the world.” A different sort of image of his own future began to build itself behind Joshua’s eyes, wheels already set in motion.

Ashbrook turned his face in to press his lips against Joshua’s throat. “Perhaps,” he sighed, his eyes closed. Joshua buried his face in Ashbrook’s curls and hung on. “But it is the only one I know.”

The door dragged against the dirt. His head jerked up and he looked around, only to see Sophie flying in at top speed. She had been running, her hair in disarray, and she gestured at the two of them with wild hands.

“There you are!” she proclaimed, and gave them both disgusted looks. “I’ve been looking for you everywhere,” she addressed Joshua alone. “I told you to be careful, but do you listen? The old bat has her wind up, now that you three vanished together, and one of the scullery girls said she saw you coming down this way.”

Cade was already gone, but the two of them alone together, the paper in his hand— No, it would not do at all to be found here.

“We need to run,” Ashbrook said, coming to the same conclusion.

“There’s no time!” Joshua could see movement and people out the window, coming down the path. “If we leave by the door they’ll see us.”

Ashbrook looked around, then lit up. “Then we’ll have to find another way.” He bolted up the ladder into the hayloft like he were a circus performer or a sailor’s monkey, too rapidly for Joshua to copy.

“Here.” He handed the paper to Sophie, about to try his best regardless, but the door at the far end creaked as someone pushed it open.

Sophie jammed her hands through his hair to rough it up, grabbed pieces of straw and shoved them down her bodice.

“Sophie!” he hissed, and she stomped on his foot.

Shuffling and rustling came from the hayloft, and a flash of boot gleamed in the light as Ashbrook squirreled himself away.

Sophie pressed the paper to her suddenly heaving bosom and set her eyes wide, as Downe and Lady Horlock entered the stables together.

“Of course I’ll…” she began breathlessly, pressing close to his body and—

What in God’s name was she playing at?

“Mr. Beaufort!” Downe called out.

Sophie squeaked and jumped away from him as though she had not just been pressing herself up against his thigh like a cat in heat, “…take this message up right away, sir,” she said in the breathiest, worst attempt at faking a conversation he had ever heard, glancing sidelong at Downe and Lady Horlock, and managing to blush crimson across the tops of her cheeks.

He needed to revise whatever he might have thought about her acting abilities. The girl should be on the stage full time, instead of mending Lady Horlock’s linens. “Yes, thank you.” He was red himself now, though not from the falseness of the scene they were apparently now committed to playing out.

“Ah, Lady Horlock, Lord Downe…” he turned his attention toward the others and Sophie, managing to look both demure and debauched simultaneously, scurried out the door under Lady Horlock’s heavy glare, “…what a surprise to see you. Here.”

A noise came from the hayloft that sounded suspiciously like a strangled cough.

How do you go about picking character names? Do you have to get them just right and make sure they fit with the character’s personality?

I do, to a certain degree. My first goal is always to make sure that the names are right for the context, more than the personality, as characters tend to change during my first draft and by the time I really have a handle on who they are, I’d far too used to their names to change them.

The Academy of Saint Gabriel is a phenomenal web resource for names separated out by culture, going up to the mid-seventeenth century. Thankfully there are also a set of fantastic sites with information on later naming trends, and the regency is well-covered. Once I have a list of names that could be used, I go down and see which ones sound right when I turn them over in my mind. Then it’s a matter of making sure that I don’t have too many characters with names that sound alike! Evander was ‘James’ very briefly, and if I remember correctly, Stephen was ‘Edward’ for about six hours. I think the current names fit them much better.

Surnames for incidental characters are always much more fun! I like finding proper surnames that are plausible, but give a sense of a character who will only be ‘on-screen’ for a short span.

We’re cover hussies. What was your first impression of this cover?

Oh gosh. Gillian was just amazing to work with. I gave her a couple of notes and some suggestions for photos, and she just made it a work of art. I think my first reaction was ‘aww – there are my boys! Hallo Stephen!’ That first look is such a fun moment, and makes everything seem suddenly very real.

I really like the way we ended up dividing the cover. This is intended to be a series, though in the sense that the books will all take place in the same universe, not that one leads directly on from another. They’ll all be readable as stand-alones, touching on another aspect of the performing arts community in regency London. With that in mind, the cover design is set up so that we can flip out the bottom image on a thematic basis, as well as switching up the characters on top. It’ll add this lovely sense of continuity across the series that I’m really looking forward to seeing.

What does writing mean to you?

It’s an escape. It’s a chance to sit down and just be in my own head for a while, telling the stories that bubble underneath my skin. I’ll admit that there’s a bit of my usual activism in my writing, at least in this particular series. There are so many stories from history that never get told, whether they’re about women, or racial or sexual minorities, and I want to bring some of those possibilities into the light. It feels very good to bring forth some of those voices.

What do you hope readers take away after reading one of your books?

That happy endings are always possible. My characters always seem to end up a little bit dented by life, and in situations where true happiness seems improbable. They’re not dukes, or ladies with large dowries, just ordinary artists trying to balance their artistic passions with their private lives, and make some kind of living at the same time. It’s a different sort of escapist fantasy than billionaire kink, and one that I really hope resonates with readers who have their own dents, dings and private passions.

No matter what, every one of us is deserving of a chance at love.

If you had a technology free day, what would you do?

Putter in my garden. I have a little kitchen garden out back, where we grow vegetables, berries and herbs, and I never seem to have enough time to do the weeding and all the maintenance and rebuilding that I’d like to. There’s something soothing and soul-satisfying about digging in the rich, dark earth.

What are you currently working on?

That Potent Alchemy, which will hopefully be the third book in Treading the Boards. Grace and Isaac are both theater professionals this time around – she’s a dancer and an actor who is aging out of the ingénue roles, and he’s a stage technician who dreams of restoring some of the Restoration-style theatre spectaculars. They circle each other during the run-up to a new production, but a third party may have quite a bit to say about the notion of a happily ever after…

It’s been so much fun researching the various London theatres of the time, and how the backstage all worked. My favorite effect at the moment is the thunder run, which was a way to make sound effects for storms on stage. There was a metal gutter running from the catwalk down to the floor backstage, and stagehands would roll cannonballs down the gutter on cue to create peals of thunder. Effects back then were just as complex as today’s sound and lighting boards, but with a lot more running around.

Quickie Time

Sexiest feature on a man?

Boxers, Briefs or Commando?

Boxer briefs! Snug and with lift, ideally.

What is on your night stand/dresser?

Way too many books that I haven’t read yet, my glasses, alarm clock and a Black Widow bobblehead doll.

Hairy chests or smooth?

Hairy! But more fuzzy, or just enough to highlight the pecs, not wolf-man Tom Selleck kind of hairy. I also love a well-trimmed beard. (It’s all about texture.)

Cowboy or businessman?

Businessman. A well-tailored suit is my catnip.

Tattoos or piercings?

Piercings, especially sexy ones. The contrast of metal-in-skin is mind-blowing.

Secret talent?

I used to play the trombone in high school band, and I can still blow a raspberry that lasts over a minute. It’s all in the breath control.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Ketchup-flavoured chips. I can’t help it. They’re awful, but so addictive.

Celebrity crush?

Gillian Anderson. This woman was responsible for my sexual awakening.

Night owl or early bird?

Night owl. I need coffee to get out of bed in the morning.

Twitter or Facebook?

Twitter. @tessbowery

Pinterest or Instagram?

Neither? Now that Livejournal’s dead, I’m a Tumblr girl, through and through. (tessbowery.tumblr.com!)

ebooks or paperbacks?

Paperbacks; it’s easier to make notes in the margins that way. (I’m so sorry! I only do it in ones that I own!)

Is there anything else you like to add?

Thank you so much for having me! I’m having such a good time with this whole process, and getting to meet everyone has been a wonderful adventure.

Come by www.tessbowery.com on June 2nd,  7 pm Eastern Time, to join me in the chatroom for the release party! I’ll have giveaways and prizes as well as interviews and a social hour. I look forward to seeing everyone!

excerptJoshua lowered himself into the armchair in his room, and loosened his cravat with a peevish snap.

“That bad, was it?” Sophie asked from the chair opposite, her legs curled under her. She closed the book in her hands, tucking it into her lap. It said something that he wasn’t the least bit surprised by her presence, though by all rights he should have been appropriately scandalized. He could always tell her to leave, as though that would do any good. The girl was like a cat; she went where she pleased and did what she liked, and woe betide anyone but her employer who tried to force her otherwise.

“I had no idea,” Joshua said, checking first to be sure the door was most securely closed, “that her ladyship had such strong opinions about the idea of gas lighting.”

“Ooh, yes, did she get on about that again?” Sophie replied with a pleased grin. “’Those gas lines will be a blight on the city,’” she imitated bitingly. “’They’re an invitation to treachery and a first stage toward a new Gunpowder Plot,’ to hear her go on. And did you know,” she asked rhetorically, the light of mischief in her eyes, “that they’re sinful as well? Apparently Our Lord and Savior would prefer candlelight.”

“Lord save us from the march of progress,” Joshua sighed, and rubbed his forehead. Exhaustion nipped around the edges of his eyes, his shoulders aching. “You were quite right, by the way.” He glanced up at Sophie, not too tired to add to her amusement. “Lady Chalcroft’s got her eye set on Coventry for her eldest. The two of them would set on her rivals like a pair of wild dogs if they thought it would get her a hand-span closer to a coronet.”

Elysium by @TheaLanden {#Giveaway} ~ #1NS @GoddessFish @DecadentPub

blurbTBookClover_Elysiumwo years have passed since April Patterson’s husband was shot and killed in the line of duty, and she’s trapped in a haze of grief and uncertainty. Having grown frustrated by all other efforts to engage her in activities where she could meet new people, her cousin pays for a date via 1Night Stand. Not thrilled with the idea, April nevertheless contacts Madame Eve and requests the impossible: a date with her deceased husband.

Brilliant software engineer Drew Monroe created his company, Elysium, to help give closure to those who have suffered the loss of a loved one, through the use of virtual reality. Though passionate about his work, being constantly surrounded by heartache and death has taken a toll on his mental health. When he accepts the case of a young widow referred to him by Madame Eve, her tragic tale depresses him further, but he commits himself to programming April the romantic date she desires.

April arrives at Elysium and prepares to enter Drew’s virtual realm. Will she find the solace she seeks within? Or will she discover she doesn’t need a fantasy world to discover happiness again?

excerptI came over to her in an effort to console her, and I doubted I’d even succeeded at that. In trying to offer her comfort, I’d contorted myself into an awkward position, trapping us between her chair and mine. The helmet she flung at me balanced on one leg, and my opposite elbow stuck out at an unnatural angle as I struggled to hold her in some sort of odd embrace. Terrific.

Her tears pooled on my upper arm, soaking through the shirt. “I’m sorry,” she kept repeating, her voice strained and muffled. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry….”

“No, I’m sorry.” My throat constricted, and for a second I thought I’d start crying with her. I grieved for a man I never met, and twinges of guilt tugged at my conscience as I thought about all the times I’d envied him. Coupled with the blatant shortcomings in operating Elysium’s software, I was not feeling very good about myself. “I’m sorry I let you down.” One arm tightened around her and shame pushed the next selfish words out. “I wanted to give you something no one else could. I wanted to let you be happy again.”

Little by little, April calmed down. She stopped shaking and her breathing slowed. Lifting her head, she stared at me with red-rimmed eyes. Something shifted within their gray depths, and she moved as if to stand. I expected her to disentangle herself from me and gather her belongings, but she leaned against the edge of the chair, wedging one knee between my thigh and the armrest. Before I could react, her hands were in my hair, her tongue was in my mouth, and she kissed me with a blazing intensity as if it was the last thing she’d ever do.

Kiss her back, you idiot.

Bring Me Home (Home is Where the Heat Is #1) by @candiwall {#Giveaway} @GoddessFish

blurbHBookCover_BringMeHomeome is Where the Heat Is, Book 1

Miya Jackson always believed life had more to offer outside Dead End, Texas. So when circumstances turned her life upside down, she took her chance to break free. A few years—and some brutal doses of reality—later, her little sister’s wedding brings her back to the hometown she left behind.

The last place she expects is to end up is in the arms of the man she’s tried and failed to forget. One scalding, passionate night is all it takes to make her rethink her damn good reasons for leaving.

Shawn Dalton always hoped this day would come. Hell, he and Miya have a history, and any misunderstandings can be fixed if she’ll only stay in one spot long enough. Now that’s she’s back, he’s determined to make her see that she belongs in Dead End. With him.

Her obstinate nature is intact, but he can deal with that. It’s the cold, detached woman she’s become that worries him. Melting that wall—and reminding Miya of her roots—is going to take every hot, sinful moment he can wrangle.

excerptShawn hooked another bale of hay and maneuvered it into the barn. “Lot can change in four years.”

“We’re talking about my dad. Not us.” She followed him into the cooler recesses of the barn. A huge row of hay bales lined the farthest side of the barn. “But thank you for helping him.”

“No thanks needed.” Every muscle strained as he lifted the bale into place. “Your folks are good people, and your Ma was worried when he fell after the reception. I was just in the right place at the right time.”

“Wait, what?” Miya watched her father enter the house.

He walked past her to grab another bale. “I guess he tripped. I’d stopped by to congratulate your sister on her wedding and your Ma asked me to look at his ankle. I figured she would have told you.”

“She didn’t.” Miya took a deep breath to ease the guilt clawing at her throat. She was home, and she still didn’t see what was right in front of her. “I should be thanking you.”

He shook his head and adjusted his hat. “Don’t need it. I did what anyone would do. They’re my neighbors.”

He knocked his gloves against his jeans a couple times before swiping at the hay clinging to his body. A few stray pieces clung to his hair and sweat-dampened skin, and she walked over to pluck them away. “Still. It’s not your responsibility and I want you to know I appreciate it.”

He barely moved, at least it seemed that way. Must have been more than she realized since somehow, she found herself backed up against one of the tall support beams bracing the sagging rafters. A sinful smile creased his dust-streaked face. “It’s my pleasure.”

Wonderland:Taken by Passion by Jaymie Holland {#Giveaway} @CheyenneMcCray @GoddessFish

BookCover_WonderlandTakenByPassionWonderland: Taken by Passion

by Jaymie Holland

blurbAfter being cheated on yet again, full-figured Alice O’Brien no longer believes she’ll find her Prince Charming. She resolves to enjoy men, but refuses to involve her heart.

When she literally tumbles down a rabbit hole, she finds she has left her familiar home city of San Francisco. She has landed in a strange and beautiful world, where she meets a powerful and dominant shapeshifter, Jarronn, and his equally fierce and irresistible brothers.

By the draw of a card foretelling his kingdom’s future, Jarronn has deliberately lured Alice to his realm in hopes of averting a terrible danger threatening his people. He has every intention of saving his kingdom with his and Alice’s bond of passion, and nothing will stop him from making her his Queen of Hearts.

excerptKalina smiled and scooted farther up to Alice’s waist and focused her attention on the scarf binding Alice’s left wrist.

She was barely aware of her wrist being released and Kalina rubbing more of the oil onto her arm. The woman’s blue-black hair drifted across Alice’s skin, as silken as the scarf Jarronn had teased her with earlier.

As she bit her lower lip, Alice’s eyes met Jarronn’s. His attention was completely focused on her and not on the beautiful Kalina. He was so darn gorgeous that Alice couldn’t help but wonder why he’d be interested in her, chubby Alice O’Brien, when he could most certainly have his pick of any supermodel in the world. Hell, with a body like that he could be a supermodel.

But Jarronn’s hands clenched the arms of his chair so tightly his knuckles had whitened. A fierce expression was on his handsome face and she could almost imagine him roaring like a tiger reined back by a tight leash.

No matter his rigid control, Jarronn wanted her. The knowledge settled over Alice like a fine cloak. It was incredible, a feeling of empowerment like nothing she’d ever experienced before.

Guest Post and #Giveaway: Final Surrender by @JenniferKacey ~ @GoddessFish

Clay and Angela from Final Surrender are here today answering my question.

Clay, list 5 things Angela would be surprised to learn about you that she doesn’t already know.

  1. Favorite cartoon when I was little was Pinky and the Brain from the Animaniacs.
  2. I’m allergic to chick peas. Good thing they’re gross.
  3. I get hard instantly when she brushes against me. She actually already knows this one but I like to remind her.
  4. I’ve worn a size 14 shoe since I was 16. And yes the rumors are true.
  5. There isn’t a man on the planet happier than I am. Not one. She’s my everything and I will never take her for granted again.

And Angela, same question. List 5 things Clay would be surprised to learn about you that he doesn’t already know.

  1. I’m afraid of large bodies of water. Like ocean kind of big. So cruise ships….not my thing.
  2. Once, a plastic surgeon who was married to one of my clients wanted to do me a favor and fix the scar on my abdomen for free. I said no. I said no because it was the last physical reminder I had of Clay. I earned that scar and don’t ever want to lose it.
  3. I’ve prayed for his happiness every night since I was fifteen. Never missed a night.
  4. I know he actually wears a size 14.5 shoe. And the rumors are definitely true.
  5. I get wet when he gives me “that” look across a crowded room. He actually already knows this one but he likes to remind me.

blurbTen years ago, Angela Meyers told everyone she went to New York to find herself. It was a lie. She fled from the aftermath of one hot night with Clay Waters. A night filled with wet heat, all-consuming releases…then his regret.
Now, with a stalker threatening to destroy her career, there’s only one man she trusts to protect her. The man she still loves, hates, needs with every breath she takes.

It’s not that Clay never craved his best friend’s younger sister. With a ticket to boot camp burning a hole in his pocket, he couldn’t allow himself to love her. The moment he lays eyes on her again, the old need—to take down her tightly wound hair, press her long, lean body to his—surges inside him stronger than ever.
But this is no ordinary bodyguard assignment. The best way to identify the voice in Angela’s shadow is to lure it into the light of day. Even if it means convincing her to trust him with her heart…and surrendering his own.

excerptClay kept silent and let the new reality of what she was…what they were dealing with sink in. He absentmindedly played with her hair. His fingertips pulled the wet strands slowly to the end. Angela licked her lips nervously, glancing at Clay out of the corner of her eyes.

“Are you trying to distract me?”

“Yes, is it working?” he asked with a playboy smile she didn’t know he still possessed.

“It always works, Clay. Anybody else I can tune out. Everybody else is on the outside, except for you. You’ve always been my Achilles’ heel, but you know that.”

Angela laid her head back against the couch cushions and decided she needed to stop talking. Her insides were already feeling hot and needy, and wanting this man beside her wasn’t going to help her heart or her life stay in one piece. She was brave last night in the near darkness of her bedroom. This morning, not so much.

“I’m nothing special. You could have any man you wanted, and that’s the God’s honest truth.”

He got up and took his cup back to the kitchen and didn’t hear her whisper, “Not every man I want, apparently.”

After he sat back down he asked, “So, want to go out and take a walk, or do you want to stick around here, order in and watch reality TV?”

She lifted her head off the couch with a scoff and said, “You don’t really watch that crap, do you? Every moment you watch is more brain cells you’ll never get back.”

“Please, what do you watch, almighty TV guru?”

“The Big Bang Theory, which is the only sitcom that should be allowed on TV. It is fantastically funny. Always makes me laugh no matter what I have going on. Have you ever seen it?”

“Nope, but if it makes you laugh, with that perma scowl you’ve got going on, then it must be pretty good.”

Clay got hit with a pillow out of the blue and he turned to see Angela hiding a wicked grin behind her hand.

“Oh, if you didn’t have a concussion, it would so be on.”

“Well, see, there’s the silver lining of being blown off those steps. I win a pillow fight with you by default. My day is complete. Oh no, not yet. I haven’t had any chocolate.”

“Chocolate, the way to every woman’s heart.”

“Of course it is.”

“So you want to venture out?” he asked again.

“I don’t know,” she answered softly.

“Little bit. I feel like I’ve got a big target on my back. I don’t want to hunker down and hide from the world, but maybe today we could keep a low profile. I’ve gotta call Mark and my parents.” She stammered again at the thought of being alone with Clay all day and the rest of her breath left her lungs in a rush as Clay’s knuckles brushed her cheek.

“How about we’ll dress you up.” His voice was soft and seductive. “That way you can feel safe and still get out for a little while.”

He stood and looked down into her wide doe eyes and without thinking, she took his hand and let him pull her to her feet.

He mesmerized her with a simple glance. He was two different people, one when they were alone and another when others were around. But she was too, if she really wanted to admit it. They were more alike than she cared to recognize.

The head injury had left her weak and a bit dazed, but Clay standing in front of her threw her completely off balance. He pulled her into his arms and she rested her cheek on his chest as he stroked her hair.

“We’ll fix this.”

“My stalker or us?” she asked before she could clamp her mouth shut.

“Hopefully both before you get completely sick of me and kick me out, like you’ve been threatening.”

“It’s no threat, Clay,” she said, pulling away from him so she could wander back to her bedroom. “It’s a promise,” she added with a snicker.

“Ah yes, but I know the secret to making you happy now,” he said as he moved to follow her.

“What’s that?”

Interview and #Giveaway: Love Under Two Outcasts by Cara Covington @GoddessFish

Cover_LoveUnderTwoOutcastsblurbCharlotta Carmichael is mostly not ashamed of the way she paid for her college degree. Mostly. As an exotic dancer at a gentlemen’s club, she earned enough to get her degree in psychology.

But sometimes the scorn she’s suffered in the past comes back to haunt her. She fears a similar reaction from Jesse and Barry Benedict. Will they still think she’s good enough for them if she tells them the truth?

Jesse and Barry know all about past mistakes and regret. Feeling like outcasts, they left their Montana home and headed to Lusty, hoping to make a new start. Once they understand that Charlotta is their soul mate, they confess their sins of the past—because they want their relationship to have a solid foundation.

As Jesse and Barry rush to save Charlotta from a stalker, they all soon learn that moving on is easier said than done—and requires a bigger leap of faith than they’d ever imagined.

Welcome to All I Want and More Books. We’re glad to have you here.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I’m Cara Covington – and I’m also Morgan Ashbury. I have more than 40 titles published with Siren Publishing and I am fortunate enough to be one of their exclusive authors. I write erotic romance, mostly ménage. As Cara, I have authored a long running series, the Lusty Texas Collection. Love Under Two Outcasts was released in December.

In this book, who was your favorite character to write and why?

I really loved my heroine, Charlotta Carmichael. She’s a woman who’s always appeared so self-assured and secure. She decided she wanted to be a psychologist but didn’t want the massive debt that went along with the education. So she chose to dance in a gentlemen’s club in order to earn her tuition. Now, in her first year of practice, she’s happy to be where she is, but…because of the reaction of her father to how she paid for that degree, she struggles with a little bit of self loathing. She also had an engagement that ended when her fiancé couldn’t handle that she’d  been a dancer. So, a woman of strength, but one with vulnerabilities. My kind of heroine.

What 3 words would you use to describe your main characters?

Caring, empathetic, and passionate.

Can you tell us a little bit about this book? Maybe a little snippet?

This is a small snippet (557 words) that takes place on the day that the heroes and heroine meet:

Charlotta felt daring indeed as she entered Lucy’s with the two hot and hunky Montana cowboys. Country music radio was piped through the place, and the after-work crowd had begun to arrive.

As soon as they entered the bar, Jesse took her hand and led her toward the back and one of the circular booths. Once they’d settled she realized they’d put her in the middle between them.

Talk about feeling daring.

She ordered a margarita and the men each asked for a beer.

The waitress was prompt, bringing their drinks and a complimentary platter of chips and salsa. Jesse was just as prompt paying the tab.

“I have to say Shiner is one of the things I like best about Texas so far,” Jesse said. “Well, aside from present company, that is.”

Charlotta’s sense of humor—what others sometimes uncharitably called sarcasm—emerged, and she opened her mouth without thinking. “Wow, there are so many great things about my home state. I’m honored you put me right up there, immediately after the beer.”

Jesse and Barry both chuckled. Then Barry took on as phony a Texas drawl as she’d ever heard. “Well now, Miss Charlotta, in all fairness, we’ve had the Shiner a few times already. You, on the other hand…” He let his sentence drop. But the way he raised his eyebrows twice in quick succession, assured her that he was teasing.

“And it’s going to stay that way today, gentlemen, because I don’t on the first date.”

“Is this a date, Charlotta?” Jesse reached for her right hand, while Barry took up her left. Both men rubbed their thumbs over the backs of her hands, their movements oddly in sync.

Charlotta felt again that fluttering excitement she’d experienced the first time they’d shaken hands.

“I think that maybe it is.”

“That’s what we were hoping you’d say.” Barry brought her hand to his lips and kissed it. Then he released her, but kept his gaze locked with hers.

“Your friend who lives in Divine. Is she…married?”

Charlotte turned to look at Jesse. She kept her voice low when she answered him. “Yes, to two men, Quinten Parks and Ben Lawrence.”

“Our sister Veronica has two husbands, and our brothers share a wife. See? It really is a small world.” Jesse matched his tone to hers, letting her know he respected her boundaries.

“They’re all married…but I don’t know if I’m looking for that. To be honest with you, I don’t know what I’m looking for. I worked long and hard to get where I am, to be able to do the kind of work I’m doing.”

“It takes dedication to become a psychologist, we both know that,” Barry said. “Dedication and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others.”

“Don’t paint me as a saint, gentlemen. I’m far from saintly, believe me.”

“We all have our flaws, and our regrets,” Jesse said. “We just want you to know that we respect that part of you that is a professional career woman.”

“We haven’t been wife hunting any more than you’ve been husband hunting.” The expression in Barry’s eyes, serious bordering on somber, let her know he was being totally candid with her. “But you have to admit there was a definite buzz when we met, and that buzz is getting stronger.”

How do you go about picking character names? Do you have to get them just right and make sure they fit with the characters personality?

For the most part, they just come to me. I might even say, they introduce themselves to me. I generally know if I’ve rushed the process, because before I’ve written too many words I have to stop.

We’re cover hussies..What was your first impression of this cover?

I loved the cover for Love Under Two Outcasts. It was my first cover my the amazingly talented Ms. Harris Channing.

What does writing mean to you?

Being a writer isn’t what I do, it’s who I am. It means breathing. If I can’t write, I’m not fully alive. I knew that years ago, even before I had ever gotten published. If I were still unpublished today, I might not be writing the Lusty, Texas series, but I would be writing.

What do you hope readers take away after reading one of your books?

Every story has a theme. In Outcasts, that theme is redemption. But every one of my Lusty Texas books deals with real life challenges. And what I always hope is that, if only in a small way, my book touches the reader.

If you had a technology free day, what would you do?

Ack! I probably would read, and then nap, and then read…well, I’d do housework too, but you get the idea. Come to think of it, I really love my bed so I might sleep more than I read.

What are you currently working on?

Currently I am working on Love Under Two Extroverts, which will be the 26th novel in the Lusty, Texas universe.

Quickie Time

Sexiest feature on a man?

His eyes. The first thing I notice on any man. Eyes are sexy as hell.

Boxers, Briefs or Commando?

Boxers. They give a hint, but no more than that.

What is on your night stand/dresser?

I have a shelf rack on the back of the bedroom door because there is no room on my side of the bed for my bedside table. (It’s a running joke between my husband and myself and he finally put a shelf where I could reach things from bed on the back of the door.) Sorry, that wasn’t quick. There I have water, a box of tissues, and my cell phone.

Hairy chests or smooth?

Hairy – it’s more natural.

Cowboy or businessman?

I like a man who can be both.

Tattoos or piercings?

Either/or as long as it isn’t extreme.

Secret talent?

Mine? I have none. What I’d love for a man to have? The talent to cradle and sing an infant to sleep.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Games on my computer. They’re brain exercises – that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

Celebrity crush?

Luke Bryan!

Night owl or early bird?

I seem to fluctuate. Right now, early bird.

Twitter or Facebook?

Facebook. It allows for more interaction.

Pinterest or Instagram?

Pinterest, which I have, as Morgan Ashbury.

ebooks or paperbacks?

Either/or. There is something good about holding a book in your hands. You can more easily flip back to your favorite passage to read over and over again.

Is there anything else you like to add?

I never could have dreamed this wonderful career I’m having. Here I am, at a point in my life when I had to quit working after triple by-pass surgery, to now be living my one and only dream…it is the best thing, ever! I am so very grateful to all of my loyal readers for making it so.divider3

Once she reached her open office door, she stood back inviting the men to enter first. She’d originally planned for them to have their meeting in the more comfortable seating area comprised of a love seat and two chairs around a small table located against one wall. She reconsidered now.

Charlotta freely admitted to herself that the only thing that made her stick to her original plan was her own stubborn pride. It wasn’t Jesse and Barry Benedict’s fault that she seemed to be having an extremely physical reaction to them.

You are such a liar. That’s not the only reason. You want to sit as close to them as possible.

Charlotta hated that her inner voice was such a nag—and that it was almost always right. As the gentlemen made themselves comfortable on the love seat, she mentally sighed. She did want to sit as close to them as decently possible. She had never had this kind of a reaction before. It had been several months since she’d felt any kind of sensual stirrings, period. What was wrong with being open, at least a little, to the possibilities? These men were going to be volunteers in a program she helped oversee, not clients. In short, there was no moral reason she couldn’t…what?

You want to jump their bones.

She told her inner voice to shut the hell up. Who asked you anyway?

bioMorgan Ashbury, also writing as Cara Covington, has been a writer since she was first able to AuthorPic_Love Under Two Outcastspick up a pen. In the beginning it was a hobby, a way to create a world of her own, and who could resist the allure of that? Then as she grew and matured, life got in the way, as life often does. She got married and had three children, and worked in the field of accounting, for that was the practical thing to do and the children did need to be fed. And all the time she was being practical, she would squirrel herself away on quiet Sunday afternoons, and write.

Most children are raised knowing the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule. Morgan’s children also learned the Paper Rule: thou shalt not throw out any paper that has thy mother’s words upon it.

Believing in tradition, Morgan ensured that her children’s children learned this rule, too.

Life threw Morgan a curve when, in 2002, she underwent emergency triple bypass surgery. Second chances are to be cherished, and with the encouragement and support of her husband, Morgan decided to use hers to do what she’d always dreamed of doing—writing full time.

Morgan has always loved writing romance. It is the one genre that can incorporate every other genre within its pulsating heart. Romance showcases all that humankind can aspire to be. And, she admits, she’s a sucker for a happy ending.

Morgan’s favorite hobbies are reading, cooking, and traveling—though she would rather you didn’t mention that last one to her husband. She has too much fun teasing him about having become a “Traveling Fool” of late.

Morgan lives in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, with a mysterious cat, an eight pound Morkie dog who thinks he’s a German shepherd, and her husband of forty-two years, David.

Love’s Last Bite by Viki Lyn and Vina Grey {#Giveaway} @vikilynromance @vinagreyauthor @GoddessFish

Dark forces, a vampire, plus one sexy cop is a recipe for trouble.

VINCENT KAMATEROS is no longer the lonely exiled vampire running a cupcake shop, but the heir to his father’s throne.

JOHN REEDER is out and accepts his vampire lover, but he has to deal with his lover being destined to rule the vampire kingdom.

While Vince and John revel in their newfound love, dark forces are at work in Orbus Arcana, determined to keep the progressive Vince from becoming the next vampire king.

Time is short and decisions loom. Their irrevocable choices will change their lives forever.

excerptVincent’s gaze was liquid silver with emotion—love. John ran the tip of his tongue over his lips.

Vincent’s voice dropped, strange words rolling off his tongue like slow, late-night music. Sexy and seductive, the vampire language snagged John’s attention, holding him a willing captive.

“What did you say just now? Are you going to force me to learn another language?” John teased. “Italian is hard enough.”

“In your blue eyes, my heart is captured. How will I ever find my way back? In your blue eyes, I find my guide on life’s journey. Don’t close your eyes to me, beloved, for then I surely will be lost.”

Fearless. Fearless with his emotions. Fearless in love. That was the essence of Vincent.

John’s heart jumped in his throat. Jesus. Vincent held nothing back. Vincent had powerful strength and abilities, but his lover’s gentle nature was what he’d come to love the most. He’d allow no one to destroy this compassionate side of Vincent.

“Te amo.” John’s voice came out tight as he worked his throat.

Vincent closed his eyes for a brief moment. “And I thank the Creator every day for that.”

Vincent swallowed, the movement drawing attention to the sensual, long, brown column of his throat. Vincent took John’s mouth in a slow kiss, his tongue sliding inside, sweeping aside John’s worry, his dark flavor of wine, salt air and Vincent so intoxicating.

But Viki and Vina discovered a mutual love of traveling around the world, the paranormal, good coffee, and a healthy admiration for their respective creativity. Sitting in a coffee shop one day, they started brainstorming about story plots and Vince and John and the car crash in the bakery. A story was born. Vina writes the sappy romance and Viki tempers it. Between them, they managed to find their boys a ‘happily ever after’.
