Hi. My name is L.B. Gregg and welcome to the blog tour. Thanks for hanging out. Today we celebrate the release of my latest Romano and Albright book— With This Bling. I’m excited for the series to find a new home with Riptide Publishing, and even more thrilled to have finally finished book three.
I’m one of those people who doesn’t have a TV anywhere in the house except the TV room and, only recently, in my bedroom. I was always opposed to TV’s taking up residence in living space, but these days I must admit that watching Game of Thrones, or Modern Family, or Chopped before I fall asleep, with my beagle curled at my side, is a total luxury.
Of course, having a laptop makes this moral high ground of ‘I’m too good for a TV in the kitchen’ a sinking quagmire of silliness because Netflix and YouTube are always a click away. So, when not distracted by flickering video, music fills the empty void of my house.
I have a Bose, and man, I use it.
For cooking, writing, gathering with friends and family, for running, housework, and driving—and most especially when I fly—a single song can make the difference between getting something done, and throwing in the towel. A song can carry me back to a specific moment in time, or to relive a specific emotion, or bring me to a calm center, or allows me to share an experience with the people around me.
And every aspect of music inspires my writing, despite being the least musical person I know. I can’t sing worth a damn. Can’t carry a tune, or recall the words to even my favorite songs. Can’t read a note, or play a thing. But inability doesn’t matter. I’m an enthusiastic listener.
I always make playlists during the planning stages of a book, and while these lists change as a book develops, it’s a constant to my process. With This Bling took ten months—on and off—to complete, so I’ve had multiple playlists. They expanded, they divided, some of the songs died off. Seeds were planted in the fertile ground of my imagination and this story grew.
And here’s the cool thing about these playlists, at least for me—I’m not only inspired to run or write or cook or win whatever impossible task is set before me, music allays my fear. This is the reason I never fly without my noise cancelling headphones. I can drown the negative noise inside my own head. I’m able to navigate through doubt, and worry—no matter what is set before me—and get my feet back on the path again. It’s…well it’s sort of magical, really.
So, here’s a peek at my With This Bling (partial and ever evolving and weird because I am weird) Playlist.
A special shout out and thank you to all the artists listed here. And while they didn’t make this list, this time, I’m always happy to say thanks to Manchester Orchestra. I cannot fly without them inside my ears.

Caesar Romano’s catering career is doing better than he’d ever dreamed. And so is his love life—even if his boyfriend’s house in Staten Island is way too far from civilization for his liking. But then in short order, Caesar is duped into helping his cousin propose, is tricked by his best friend and business partner into appearing on live television, and is harassed by a thug-like personal trainer and his far too beautiful wife. In fact, Caesar is almost too busy to notice that something is troubling his PI boyfriend, Dan Albright.
Laid-back, open, charming—that’s the impression hunky former NYPD Detective Dan Albright gives everyone. Caesar can add sexually adventurous and a bit of an exhibitionist. But he also knows that Dan is hiding something—something dark and a little dangerous—and when Dan’s silence over his mysterious past threatens to harm them both, it’s Caesar’s turn to save the day.
But then again, a break-in, a gallery party, an heirloom ring, a new suit, and a stalker with bad BO are all just a typical week for Caesar Romano.
