After joining a sexual compatibility site, Sydney finds herself at a coffee shop awaiting her first date.
When bachelor number one makes a bizarre and slightly alarming entrance, will she stick to Plan A or choose the sympathetic stranger?
Thank you for stopping by All I Want and More. We’re glad to have you here.
Why don’t you tell us a little about yourself…Something that we cannot Google about you J
I am quite literally an open book, so I wouldn’t doubt you could find just about everything about me if you Googled me. I like to be Googled. *grins* But here’s me in a nutshell: I juggle, I dance, I’m a lover of karaoke, a peanut butter addict, and a serial online dater.
Tell us a little about this book.
I think we’re all familiar with the concept of online dating, but this book takes things to a whole new level. Sydney and Charlie are matched through a sexual compatibility site, and when they officially meet, they’re doing so with the intention of hooking up. Sitting across from someone in a coffee shop who knows your favorite sexual position before you even touch can be a trifle awkward, wouldn’t you say?
What was your favorite part to write in this book?
The opening scene was my favorite part to write, when Charlie excuses himself to tend to some business and a handsome stranger (who’d been eavesdropping on their conversation) swoops in to sway Sydney’s decision.
You can only pick 3 words to describe your main characters, what would they be?
Sydney: Passionate, adventurous, determined
Charlie: Genuine, quirky, enthusiastic
Garrett: Mysterious, persuasive, commanding
What 3 things would your main characters never leave the house without?
Sydney: Make-up, cell phone, iPod full of classical tunes
Charlie: Clown nose, big shoes, enthusiasm out the wazoo
Garrett: Suave charm, a well-pressed suit, his wallet
Which was the easiest character to write and the hardest ~ and why?
I usually find it much more difficult to write male characters because, well, I’m not actually a man. But Charlie just came so naturally to me since his personality most closely resembles my own. Garrett is the complete opposite of me in every way, so he was the most challenging to write, but I’m also the most intrigued by him at the same time. That whole opposites attract thing is spot-on.
Since we’re cover hussies….what was your first impression of this cover?
*gulp* *pant* *sticks head in the freezer*
What type of scene is your favorite to write? (Fight, love, making up..etc.)
I prefer scenes that involve all three! I love writing scenes filled with tension—romantic and otherwise. A heated argument, a slap to the face, that can often lead to a kiss or two…or five.
How much emotion does it take from you to write?
I’m laughing because I’ve actually thought of asking someone to take a video of me while I’m writing just to see the faces I make throughout. I feel what my characters feel. I go THAT deep and get THAT connected because I need to in order to convey that emotion properly to my readers.
What do you hope readers take away after reading one of your books?
A big-ass smile and the need to read more! And possibly the urge to stick their head in the freezer too. 😉
Is there a genre you would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?
I’m one of those ‘happy where I am’ kind of authors. I’ve never really wanted to try anything other than erotic romance/romantic comedy. Having said that, I have a huge respect and admiration for historical romance authors because I would be terrified to ever tackle something so huge.
What are you currently working on?
My work in progress is a romantic, dystopian comedy called Nutcases. It’s set in a world where peanut butter has been banned by the government and my hero and heroine run an underground peanut butter bootlegging business. Many shenanigans ensue. 😉
What’s the last line you wrote from your current WIP?
I’m gonna give you two lines, ‘cause I’m generous that way:
Right now, they had everything they needed to produce peanut butter in small quantities, but what would be the point? To give people a taste of something they once loved, only to take it away again?
Okay…. personal time!!!!
What is on your night stand/dresser? Purple Play-Doh. Really. Oh, and a lamp, an alarm clock, a Lego mime, and a flashlight.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing? I love to play sports, juggle, dance, hula hoop, read, and socialize with my peeps.
What’s your guilty pleasure? Nutella. I eat it by the spoonful. Here’s a tip: Put a spoonful of Nutella in the freezer for thirty minutes. It will change. Your. Life.
What’s your secret talent? I can play the kazoo while balancing on one foot with my eyes closed.
What’s the last thing you Googled? Gordon Lightfoot lyrics. *nods*
Quickie time… Think fast….
Are you a quickie kinda girl? I’ll take whatever I can get!
What’s ur fave drink – in a glass or on him? I love a good glass of H20 and I’d pour that alllll over him.
Spank or Flogger? Spank. I’m a bad, bad girl.
Ties or Chains? Ties
Leather or Lace? Leather
Soft or Hard… Bed, where was your mind? 😉 I like it firm, baby.
Control or Be Controlled? Be controlled. I’m like an X-box. Use me!
Hot Wax or Whipped Cream? Whipped Cream all the way!
Top or Bottom? Bottom
Sexiest feature on a man? His hair. Weird, I know, but I just love a man with good hair I can get my fingers all tangled up in
Boxers, Briefs or Commando? Boxer-briefs
Cowboy or businessman? A cowboy who means business
Tattoos or piercings? Um, neither? Not a fan
Night owl or early bird? I’m terrified of birds, so…going over here now
Twitter or Facebook? Facetwit? I can’t decide! Facetwit has huge potential, I think
Pinterest or Instagram? Pinterest!
ebooks or paperbacks? ebooks!
