#Review: Running Scared (Love’s Command Book 1) by @Billi_Jean2 ~ @bederlj

848553When a woman running scared runs into the arms of a sexy cowboy, she might lose her fear, but will she also lose her heart?

When a woman on the run hits a town right out of the Wild West, the first cowboy she meets sets his sights on her. Alone, scared, and starting over, Susan will have to decide if the big, bad Russell Ryland, retired Navy SEAL, now rancher, is for real or just using up his down time between missions.

Russell takes one look at the smiling, blue-eyed beauty and realises there’s a heck of a lot more after retirement than he’d thought. As he begins to dream of a life with Susan, he fights an unfamiliar battle within himself-doubt. Does she want him, or is she merely out for some fun?

Time for the reluctant couple nearly runs out when the very men Susan is hiding from come to call. Will Russell wake up quickly enough to save her? Or will their doubts get them both killed?

Lacey was a sweet and innocent woman who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She witnessed a murder by the Russian mob. Unfortunately they saw her and nearly killed her. After being in the hospital for 6 months she finds herself in witness protection heading for a remote Montana town. She stops along the road to get her bearings and two cowboys stop to assist her. There is instant attraction between Lacey and Russ, but both have trust issues. After all, Lacey cannot even tell him her real name! She was provided the name “Susan” to use, and told not to get close to anyone, to keep a low profile.

Russ is not looking for a relationship, he has learned not to trust women. After retiring from the Navy Seals he just want to work his ranch and occasionally do some mercenary work for his old Seals buddies. But Russ cannot get Susan out of his mind and finds himself tracking her down in their small town.

The attraction between the two sizzles, and the heat index between them could melt Montana snow! Hot, hot, hot! Unfortunately the Russian mob is still interested in Lacey and hired a contract killer to hunt her down, a brutal sociopath. But will Russ be around when Lacey needs him? An old Seals buddy needs him, and he finds himself torn between a new love and an old friend in need. This book has a lot of surprises for the reader. Lacey is much more than a damsel in distress. Raised by a doting Navy Seals officer, she has surprising connections and a strong back bone. You will find it is indeed a small world.
